CHAPTER 3
When the Backstreet Boys came in the magazine's headquarters, at 5:50, everyone was gone except Rachel, Karen, Lauren and Cindy. The girls didn't notice them, they were around a table, trying to put some sort of order in a pile of paper on the table.
The office was quite large. They were 5 desks with computers at the back, and about ten other desks all over the place. On the left was a large round table, which was used for reunions and meeting. And in the middle there was another round table, that one smaller, and that's where the girls were now.
"So," AJ said. "Do we stay here and wait until someone notices us or do we disturb them?"
"I think we'd better not disturb them. For what I've heard from Lauren earlier, they're in a hurry tonight." Brian answered.
"It's amazing how they can pull it off that way. Looks at this office. How can they pay for that? We sponsor them, but we don't give them that much." Kevin said.
"They have other sponsors, remember? And people pay to subscribe to the magazine. Lauren told me the other day that their main problem isn't money, but time. Everyone that works here does still goes to school. They don't get paid a lot of money. It's mostly a hobby for them. They're fans working for us." Brian said.
"Well, Frick. You sure know a lot about them, don't you? Oh yeah, that's true, you spent most of your days on the phone with Lauren." Nick said.
"I do not spent that much time talking to her. At least I'm interested in what they do. Not like you who, I believe, has not read a single page from the magazine since we've met them."
"It's about us. Why would I read it? It's not like I'm gonna learn something."
"You'd probably learn that Lauren isn't as bad as you think." Brian said in a bitter tone.
Before Nick could reply, Howie interrupted. "Guys, stop it. Nick, remember what you promised."
"Be nice to her, I know." He mumbled.
