Nick was watching television when he heard his friend come in with a loud "Honey I'm home!" followed by a laugh. Brian had come so often to his house that he didn't even bother to knock anymore.

"I'm coming." Nick said, turning off the TV.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yes sir. All set."

"Alright. This is going to be great."

"Yeah, I'm so glad they invited us."

"It'll give you a chance to relax." Brian said as he put his hand on Nick's shoulder.

"I know," Nick sighed. "I need it."

And he really did need it. That vacation they were allowing themselves was more than welcomed from Nick. No more than 2 days ago, he had fainted on stage and now he was close to losing his voice. When he had called Lauren the day before, she had noticed the weakness of his voice and asked him what was going on. When she heard he had collapsed and that he was suffering from exhaustion, she started to worry about him.

Lauren and Cindy were at Lauren's grandparents' beach house until August 10th. Then, they had to go to New York for the Backstreet Boys' album release. The Boys were releasing their second album, Backstreet's Back, which was also their american debut. But up till the 10th, Cindy and Lauren had the beach house to themselves, so they invited Nick over to spend a week away from the showbiz world. They also told Brian to come, and now the two were heading to Tampa International Airport to get their flight to Montreal.
