CHAPTER 4
"And you turn left... Here." Nick said to Brian, guiding him as much as he could.
"Then?"
"That's all Lauren gave me. We're supposed to be there... Almost."
"Well, uh, what's the address?"
"See, that's the tough part. There is none."
"How can there be no address?"
"She said that we'd get to a gate, we open it and then we're on the lake's territories. There are about 10 houses. We've just gotta find the good one."
"Are how are we going - Hey, there's your gate!" Brian said.
"Great, it means we didn't get lost."
"That's quite amazing, actually. With your orientation skills..."
"Hey, don't you dare to mock my orientation skills. Who got out first when we were stuck in that building three months ago?"
"Alright, you win. Just go open that gate."
Nick got out of the car and opened the gate. Brian drove the car on the other side, then stopped and waited for Nick to close the gate.
"Talk about security... The gate doesn't have any locks or anything." Nick said.
"It's not for security. It's probably just to warn people that this is a private property. Anyways, back to our problem. Which one of these houses is the good one?"
"Oh, look, there's a tennis court over there. Lauren said it was next a tennis court!"
"She meant it's near one, it's doesn't mean it's the house next to it. Beside, the court is between two houses, so we wouldn't know which one." Brian sighed. "She gave us great directions, she couldn't finish them?"
"Well, we'll just have to knock at each door. There are only ten houses or so."
"Nick, it's almost midnight. Most normal people are sleeping at this hour."
"You wanna sleep in the car?"
"No, it's freezing cold."
"Then park this car and let's get out!"
