ROM (Rivers of Mud) is an on-line fantasy game, played over telnet. This means no graphics, just words. It's many things to many people, but to me it's a form of communication, one far more advanced and enriching than a simple chat program. Sure, there are rules to learn. But it's the best form of fun and communication I've found on the net so far. My character's name is Zog, by the way.
