Welcome to the Friends Zone Webring Home Page! This ring has been started in an effort to
provide a more updateable version of the SHOOP, so that we can easily surf from one Zone-Related
web page to another.
What's a Webring?
A collection of pages centred around a common theme or interest. The people
who join the ring add a 'ring fragment' (coded in HTML, please see the bottom of this page for
an example). Visitors to a site containing a ring fragment can then quickly travel to another
page in the same genre.
What's the Friends Zone?
An e-mail list that grew up around a mutual love of the NBC sitcom Friends. We actually talk about
ourselves more than the show. It is an online community that meets in real life. Check out the
Friends Zone home page for more information.
How do I join?
- Fill out the form on this page. You will be given a site ID number. Write it down! Then copy
the HTML code at the bottom of this page and modify it where directed.
- For example, where the code reads YOUR_SITE_ID, replace that with the site ID number that you will be given when you complete the form below.
- Also, make sure to download the .gifs in the ring fragment, and upload them
to your site's directory.
- I usually check each new page for the ring fragment within 24 hours, and
then add it to the ring. You can also e-mail me to let me know you've added
the ring fragment to your page.
There are a few guidelines to joining the ring:
- Please do not link a commercial site to the ring. This ring is for recreation, not advertising.
- Please don't register one URL in the ring, and then put the HTML for the ring fragment on
another page just for web rings. That defeats the purpose of a ring.
- Pages don't have to mention the Zone. They can be related to the TV show 'Friends', or not.
- You can have more than one site in the ring - for example, your personal
web page and a Zone-related page that you maintain.
- Have fun!
