Your New Home

===============================================

Though it breaks our hearts
That you're no longer woth us
It would tear your heart in two to leave that place.
We asked God to heal you
And He did in His own way
By deciding you had finished your short race.

I'd love to hear you sing
A duet with an angel.
You lift your praise to the One who gave you grace.
And I imagine you are
More beautiful than ever
As the light of heaven shines upon your face.

And though I know that we won't always be apart
There's still a hole the size of you inside my heart.

I know we're only visitors on earth.
And I know that we've been dying since our birth.
But I wish that God had let us keep the gift we had in you.
Though I know that you are happier by his throne.
Good luck in your new home.

It lifts my heart to know
Today I could be with you.
His lips are on the trumpet so they say.
But until that moment
I'll go on here without you
Precious memories get me by from day to day.

Some days are worse than others
And I have a hard time.
In every aspect of my life
It seems you're on my mind.
But God's love it surrounds me
And I hear a still small voice
"She's here with me in heaven now
Don't give up hope, rejoice!"

And I know we're only visitors on earth.
And I know that we've been dying since our birth.
But I wish that God had let us keep the gift we had in you.
Though I know that you are happier by his throne.
Good luck in your new home.

Though I know that you are happier by His throne.
Good luck in your new home.

Good luck in your new home.
