Featured Author: Michael Yates
Yates was born in the Ozarks of Missouri, raised Germany, Mexico, and various places in the states. He obtained his B.A. and M.A. at the University of Missouri in Kansas City,
Phd. Comparative Literature, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Yates has been a Canadian Citizen since 1972. Occupation includes teaching at numerous universities in the states and Canada, and, more recently, a prison guard in the correctional system of
British Columbia.
"I have lived in British Columbia for half my life, most
of it
in various communities of the Lower Mainland except for three years' residence
in the Queen Charlotte Islands. A portion of almost every year has been spent
in the bush of British Columbia, the territories, Alaska, and the high arctic collecting imagery."
