        the dimly lit poetry corner

Here at the dimly lit poetry corner. We're mostly about poetry, but there will be other odds and ends thrown in for good measure. I have great aspirations for this site, which include an exhibition of my own work, works of my fellow corner dwellers, a featured poem of the week (or month depending on the laws of supply and demand), of course the obligatory "favorite links" section, and a few other interesting tidbits.

Before we go on, I'll give you the chance to leave something in my Guestbook. Or you could just Take a Peek at what others have left.

Soon I wish to open a Preferred Quote section. Anyone who has a quote they particularly enjoy, can't forget, or choose to live by can submit them to me to include on this page. Send me an e-mail, or leave your suggestion on the message board.

Let me show you around the place. You're standing in the main entry to the corner. This is where I stop people, give them the tour, and tell them a bit about the place.

On the wall to your right is thePoets and Poetry message board. Come here to talk about poetry, poets, and post you poem for a critique from your peers. But don't let this stop you from sending me you poetry to post here.

Over here is the bookshelf This is the place where I say to my guests, "Enough about you, let's talk about ME." You even get to see a list of some of the more loved books on my very own shelf.

Onward! to the reading lamp. Here is kept my favorite thing: the poetry. I have some of my work on here and -finally- the work of a couple of my RT friends. I'm always accepting poetry submissions. Please see the Submission Guidelines before sending any work though.

The Featured Author section is now open. Our current Featured Author is Michael Yates. He is a very prolithic poet with many publications. I find his work quite moving. Please read more about him and peruse his contributions to the corner.

If you are interested in becoming a featured author please look at the submisson guidelines. You don't have to be famous or published; just meet the criteria.

Finally, here is the obligatory frequented Links section. This is constantly expanding. So if you know or have a site that you think belongs on the list drop me some e-mail or leave a message at Poets and Poetry.

I think that's about it for the tour. Come again.
