Welcome Friend

Sometimes we feel it hurts too much and some choose to give up.
This page is dedicated to my
Mother

One red Rose
Her Rose
by Janelle Gregory ©

She called today
To tell me she picked
The first rose of the season.

And put it on the table in a jar
Then called to share with me
The joy of this rare find.

I chided her for picking it.
I said, "It will soon die.
Much better to leave it on the bush,
to bloom before your eyes."

"There's yet one more," she quietly said,
"I just may pick it, too.
They are so very pretty,
their scent so sweet and new,
They bring such joy to me."

I walked through her kitchen
for the very last time.
I plucked the rose now on her table
Resting in the little jar.
The last thing I am sure she held
That gave her heart such joy.

I placed the rose on a Memorial table
Next to her picture framed.
Mother and the rose;
Both cut short
By one, the same dear hand.

Don't forget to stop and smell the roses.

There are no easy answers to the sufferings of family members and friends who have chosen suicide as the solution to their pain. Those of us who remain have had to sort through the pieces and come to terms with something that seems completely abstract. If you are searching for peace at the loss of your loved one please consider the truths layed out on this page:
Undeniable Truth

If you are suicidal please consider this truth:
The message I wish to share with you is that YOU are LOVED.
You may feel completely alone in this world, like no one cares for you. This is a LIE from the enemy of your soul. His name is Satan. Jesus does care. He is your Creator and the Lover of your soul. The Bible is God's love letter to you. I have compiled some scriptures dealing with self esteem and personal value of the human soul as well as comfort and love. You are SO important that God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross so that you could spend eternity with Him in Paradise. Click on the highlighted words to see proof.

The Lord says that you are Precious in his site. And with Christ you will never be alone. God has a desire for you and He Values you so intimately that all the hairs on your head are numbered. God wishes to give to you everlasting life.Comfort is a prayer away. When you call, trusting in His mercy, he WILL answer you.
As one left behind in the wake of a loved ones suicide, I send you a personal message of hope. That is that there are those, right now, who deeply love you; family, friends, neighbors. Most have no idea just how deep your pain is, or how near you are to giving up. I ask you, please, reconsider your choices. There is a way out, there is relief from your inner pain. It may sound very simple, but often it has kept me afloat. Believe it or not, the saying came from my Mother, for whom this page was created, who eventually took her own life. "This too shall pass." And it is so. God assures us in His Word that we will never be tempted beyond that which we are able." 1 Corinthians 10:13. Perhaps at this point you are shaking your head and telling me, "You have no idea what God is allowing me to suffer." You're right, I don't. All I can say is that I have survived a great deal more pain then I ever imagined I was capable of by the Grace of a meriful and loving God.
Sometimes only these two thoughts, and the verses that remind me of the eternal truth, "O taste and see that the LORD is good:" Psalm 34:8 keep me from giving in to the same temptation to give up. Below is included some links for you to surf. I haven't fully researched each site so cannot give my stamp of complete agreement to each one, however it is my hope that you will find encouragement to keep living, and that joy will break around the corner for you. I would love to talk with you, or offer prayer and encouragement. My credentials are few, however, what I can offer you in the way of comfort I freely give.
