I know, this page is really simple, with no graphics at all and so on. But I don't think it's necessary to create a beautiful looking website for a so simple program. Anyway this document contains almost all the informations you need about eNotes.
eNotes is a little program written in Visual Basic 5.0 by TheLegs (see the last paragraph to know how to contact him). It uses your screen as a board on which can float many little memos in various colors which can help you to remember something you need or something to do.
eNotes does not automatically save the notes you have written, so their content is lost when eNotes is closed, but you can export them to text files if you need to keep them.
The program is enough intuitive and really easy and simple to use, so there is no further documentation about it: there are just 6 buttons:
eNotes just needs any Win32 working system to run (for instance: Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me/XP/etc.). Maybe it works also with a Windows 3.x environment running the Win32s but I didn't tested. The only libraries used is the one included with the "Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0 runtime" package that you certainly have in your computer or that anyway you can easily download from the Internet.
We recommend you use at least 256 colors to represent graphics on the screen.
eNotes is released under the GNU General Public License, which grants both to you and me some important rights. Instead of summarizing to you something here, it's better you read by yourself this license by going to the following URL: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html
Current version is 1.0.19
eNotes v.1.0.19 (Win32)
eNotes v.1.0.18 (Win32)
If you want to be sure that the ZIP file contains the right file you can use the correspondent .sig file. If you see that I am the signer (my Key ID is 0xF2ABE11B), and you see no errors, it's anything right. :)
I know, renaming the signature file each time is really boring, but I needed to do this because Geocities.com does not support nor .asc or .sig extensions. Sorry about that.
You can always refer to the original Web address, stated at the top of this document, to download the last versione of eNotes.
If you want to contact the author for questions about eNotes send a mail to thelegs@despammed.com. For questions that concern the license you can ask either to me or, better, to the Free Software Foundation who produced this license (gnu@gnu.org).
