Flight Officer Taa' Leth tai barD' - DK-105

It is only two days since my commission in the Demon Knights Red Flight Wing and we are already in a combat mission with a Dominion fighter group, presumably piloted by Jem Haddar warriors. It shall be a glorious battle, full of Honor. The Jem Haddar are well known for their ferocity and courage, but they will be no match for the Klingons of the Demon Knight squadron.

Our Commander, Lt. Col. Khatal, ordered Lt. Marqis, Red Flight Leader, and our squadron to attack the six oncoming Dominion fighters head on while he and his wingman would attempt to circle behind the enemy. Our three fighters blazed ahead, decloaking  as one and firing volleys of phaser blasts into the enemy ships and photon torpedos. The enemy continued to attack in formation until Lt. Col. Khatal and his wingman, Baalaq in DK-101 & DK-102 decloaked from behind. The two enemy fighters broke formation, and the rear two were quickly destroyed by our glorious commander and his wingman. Baalaq was ordered to recon the area and locate the fighter base.

Meanwhile, Red Wing engaged the enemy. Lt. Marquis ordered the port wingman and I to take the respective fighters while he continued with the lead enemy ship. He destroyed the first fighter, but the remaining fighter got behind him. At only 48% shield and damage to his port nacelle, Lt. Marqis manuevered his fighter in a dive, in an attempt to either lose the fighter or lure him into a crash.

However, the Lt. was not to die. I had dispatched my fighter in short time, having caught him in the process of turning to engage. A 40 second burst with the forward disruptors was all it took to penetrate his shield and breach his warp core. The resulting explosion was glorious!

I banked quickly around and sought a vector to engage the enemy. Lt. Marqis heard my reply and led the enemy into my sights. His skills as a pilot were once again the turning point in another Klingon victory. Meanwhile Lt. Col. Baalaq had located an enemy ship approximately 2 parsecs away on a vector of 247 mark  5 moving inbound at sublight speed. We await orders and stand ready to give further Glory to the Empire and the Demon Knight Squadron of KAG.
