SOJOURN
Sojourn Midi
The search for love has taken me
beyond the dark cradle of the night,
deeper than the cooling pools of infinity,
past the dark shadows that hide the light.
To where I can find the stillness in my heart,
and love's sojourn can begin.
I need to absorb the love that lays behind the face
of the person I call friend.
Though I have searched before,
my quest was all in vain.
It was always you I was searching for
but never could obtain.
I felt the romantic tapestry
was woven only in my dreams.
The realm of the rainbow
was not within my means.
So long ago I stopped my search,
and lived long lonely years,
with only dreams to comfort me,
a pillow full of tears.
I did not want to languish
in my self made mirage,
So I covered my misery
with joyful camouflage.
I know that someday we must meet,
and I will feel your magic touch,
for even the God's must take pity,
knowing I love you so much.
Open your heart and hear my plea,
and I will adore you endlessly.
Make not my love a travesty
left hanging on the edge tragically.

Note to Readers:
This poem is very special to me as it is my first ever colaboration. I am so pleased with it's outcome. You might note the poems within the poem Sojourn itself. The GOLD verses are mine, and the WHITE verses
are those of Robert Kogan. He is a fantastic poet, and I highly recommend that each of you visit his homepage, to know and
discover more of the mysteries behind the man himself.
