Jello

Oh the wiggly, somewhat jiggly, Jello on my plate
It wiggles round, up and down, waiting for its fate.
I try my fork but it doesn't work; It woggles right on through.
Leaves me staring, even glaring, wondering what to do!
So my spoon I use but my hands refuse to be steady with the task.
And off it falls and hits the wall and oh what a tint it casts!
Now around it rolls inside my bowl; I guess this is a draw.
I'll not worry, I'm not in a hurry; I'll just use my straw!

My Prayer

Oh Lord, my God, One most high.
lift me up, hold me nigh.
Keep me close to you each day.
When in darkness, light the way.
When friendships sour and hearts are sore,
remind me Lord to love you more.
In a world where faith is few
teach me Lord to look to you
when times are good, or things are bad,
when spirits soar or when I'm sad.
When answers come in options new
help me know what you'd have me do!
And in my struggles help me show
the peace in you that I know.
Knowing when my time is done,
My life with you has just begun.

Who can't relate to this EH?*G*

Fairytale

Is this supposed to be my fairy tail?
Happily ever after has something lacking!
My gown is to small, my tiara too big;
at my ankles my stockings are sagging.
And where is my fairy godmother?
I think my glass slipper broke.
My feet are just killing me
And is prince charming is supposed to croak??

My Happy Poem

Daisy chains and blueberry stains
and smells of new rain in spring,
summer breezes and surprise sneezes
and birds in the morn when they sing,
tingling thrills and occasional chills
and a quiet stroll for a while,
Chocolate kisses and wishing well wishes;
These things all make me smile.
Rain on the roses and afternoon dozes
and ice cold soft serve ice cream,
Long rainy days and porch swing sways
as I tell you my passionate dreams.
Shady branches and smiling glances
as we lay in spring grass that's new.
Ocean tides and horseback rides
I want to share these things with you.

Heartache

Tears are falling from unseen eyes
And unheard are my pleas
Cherished memories cause an ache.
And it brings me to my knees.
I do not understand the things you do.
And I don't know what to say.
All my efforts are in vain.
And I cannot face the day.
Misunderstandings taken instead of truth.
Please tell me where forgiveness lies,
and how can we get back to where we were
When you will not hear my cries?

The Creation

You speak words of Stone and my heart takes flight.
The stone turns to soft Downey feathers,
and I soar like an eagle leaving the earth far beneath her.
Your will falls upon me like rain from an afternoon summer shower.
I cannot escape its cleansing essence.
I am caught up in the fog of your wishes.
I see only your words, hear only your voice.
Your presence is like a mountain towering over me.
I kneel before you, In awe of your magnitude.
I long for you attention, hanging on every word you utter.
Silently wishing that every moment could be spent listening to the sound of your voice.
Like clay being molded, I slowly am becoming what you will me to be.
I am your creation.

This is for all my lovely, wonderful online friends! Never in my life would I of ever believed a few years ago that I would be so close to people I have never seen in my life. *VBS*

I see you

I see you.....
Shadows of you is what I see,
Echoes of things that are supposed to be.
Talk of our days and what they hold.
Talk of passion and love grown cold.
We laugh and cry over things not seen
As we talk of life and other things.

I wonder...
I wonder what is really real.
I wonder what you really feel.
I wonder of your cherished things
and what for you does happiness bring.
I wonder if you've loved as I
and if you've ever been afraid to die.

I know....
Pictures painted by the words we speak
friendships formed by the things we think.
cherished memorys in fleeting thoughts
Some are mine, some are not.
I know you only by the things I see
in this mirror image of reality.

Imaginings

I close my eyes,
I see your smile,
I feel your hand in mine.
I hear your voice,
Gentile and warm
And I lose the track of time.
Then screams and shrieks
And patter of feet
Once again come near
And I'm brought back to reality
And long to bring you here.

No comment needed here I guess.

A Long Time Ago...

A breeze hits my face as I remember
Those cold rainy days of November,
A long time go..
We were so happy then.
Honey do you remember when
You said you loved me?
Those sweet blissful days of fall;
Tell me can you recall
When it was me?
So tell me is she good to you?
Was she worth the hurt you put me through?
And do you ever think of me and remember
Those cold rainy days of November,
A long time ago...

Snowflakes hit my cheek as I remember
Those cold icy days of December,
A long time ago...
Our precious child came to us then.
Honey can you remember when
We said how we loved her,
And how we wanted to give her our all?
Tell me can you recall
How she loved her daddy?
So tell me is she good to you?
Was she worth the hurt you put us through?
And do you ever think of us and remember
Those cold icy days of December,
A long time ago....

My Friend
For Jon (thanks for everything, you will always be one of my best friends.)

Your silent smile brightens my morning with beautiful music,
And it drifts around me in the background throughout my day.
Your quiet words fill my heart with joy;
Gently they warm the days chill.
Your knowing eyes see me as I really am despite my efforts to hide;
They find their way past all my disquises.
Like a scholar and his studies your research has taught you much;
You know almost everything about me.
Every moment spent with you are like precious jewells,
And I carefully store them in the treasure chest of my mind.

I decided to write this about the "beat" that comes to me when I get the poem bug.

Rhythm

The rhythm of the words
Beating in my head.
The drumming drumming rhythm
Demanding to be fed.
The flowing churning prose,
The ever present rhyme.
Tapping tapping tapping
To the never changing time.
Clicking out its presence,
The always persistent beat.
Making life its own
With the rhythm of my feet.

Sunlight

Sunlight through my window
Gives off georgous beams
Blinding my eyes to reality
When I see you in my dreams.
Rainbows float and birds do soar
and kites ride way up high
But my heavy heart does not take flight
when I wish that you were nigh.
So I smile and wish and smile some more
and toss rose petals to the sea.
Willing my thoughts to float to you
and bring you home to me.

Tears

Can you feel my tears,
as they well up in my eyes.
Could you feel them hit the ground
when our honesty made me cry.
I have always cherished our openness.
Have always held you near
But a sob came from deep within
To think I might lose you, dear.
I do not want you to go.
Theres sorrow at the thought,
of you with another.
Its tearing me apart.

I think we all know someone like this EH?

The Deceiver

She shrouds her day in mystery,
Deception is her name.
She surrounds her self in luxury,
And clothes herself in fame.
Her sparkling eyes, they hide her lies.
She moves with practiced grace.
Her greed is hidden behind her smile
That is painted on her face.
Her heart is made of frozen ice
Can you feel her bitter chill
As she feeds her needs with each soul
Until she has had her fill?
She lines her path with treasures
From her victims of the day.
Long lost hopes and broken dreams
Like souvenirs pave the way.
Beware of loving for looks alone,
Be careful of what she hides.
Take your time and research well
And see what lies inside.
The bell has rung, the hunt begun
She looks to quench her thirst.
Her Volunteers line up willingly
Is it you who will be first?

The Sea

I stand at the ocean..... foam at my feet.
thinking of someone I've yet to meet.
sea mist jumps, touching my cheek
leaving me feeling gentle and meek.
I stroll for miles on the shell spotted shore.
pondering and smiling and stroling some more.
Dark clouds rise and onwaves do roll.
Torrent rains clense my soul.
The air and my spirit leave our cares
after the storm--sweet cleansed air.

The Field

Floating through the field,
Bowing to the sun,
Smiling at the daisies,
And with the wind I run.
Dancing through the cattails,
I sing a song of joy.
Unaware of dangers
That try to catch my soul.
Unexpected pitfalls,
Bring me to my knees,
Invading days with darkness,
And ever tricking me.
The darkness overcomes me,
Engulfing me in the night.
as I search for the nothing
In the non existing light.

Time

Minutes seem like hours.
Hours drag to eternity.
Giggles and shrieks patter by,
till sanity seems uncertainty.
I force a smile and try to cope,
and somehow muddle through.
But stress of the day adds up fast,
and I find myself missing you.
Why did our lives deal its cards
in the ironic way they lie?
Making miles between us long,
after other loves have died.
The two of us may never meet.
or fate may find a way.
But you will remain in my heart,
and there is where you'll stay.

We're Just Friends

You walk into the room and smile, my knees go weak.
Your sparkling eyes meet mine as you grin at me,
Oblivious to my struggle to remain calm.
Your insignificant words penetrate my soul.
unaware of the pain in my heart at knowing you do not share my feelings.
Friends! We are just FRIENDS! I tell myself.
As I smile and take your hand and walk beside you.
Until another takes my place.
