Happy Birthday Jesus

I was sitting at my computer this morning,
and I felt there was something I wanted to say.
I knew it had to do with this Holiday season,
And I knew it was something`bout Christmas day.

I scurried around in my frenzied fashion,
as I usually do this time of year.
I was worried about getting everything accomplished,
Realizing that Christmastime was near.

Still, this thought kept returning to my head.
The topic, you know, I mentioned above.
I knew it had something to do with Christmas,
And I knew it had something to do with love.

I wanted to pause and think about it awhile,
But I had gifts to wrap and cards to mail.
But this thought kept pounding in my head,
And I knew that stifling it was to no avail.

So I sat in the chair with my Bible in hand,
And started reading in a frantic way.
Before my eyes it just jumped off of the page,
And I knew in an instant what I needed to say.

For, you see, I had turned in my Bible to Luke,
And read about the Savior's birth, and the reason.
So I now know the message I wanted to convey,
Was "please remember Jesus this Holiday season!"
