One of the great things about having a digital camera is the ability to take ridiculous pictures like this and not worry about wasting film! This was my favorite at El Loco: the Loco Burrito. One whole pound of a burrito and an Orange Bang -- orange drink whipped up to a froth. Loved this place.
Guess who these two freaks are? We were playing around with the camera during our walk back to Alan's place from El Loco.
California air on a good day...
...Aaaaaaand California air on a bad day! This is so sick, man! I've been to some polluted cities before but Los Angeles and vicinity take the cake! It's the only place I've been to so far where you can actually smell the pollution. It's funny too, because everybody there is in total denial. If you ever go there, just ask someone about it. "Smog? What smog?" they will say with a smile on their face. I took these two pictures sitting on the wall that separates Alan's backyard from the street - the place I was sitting before while I was on the phone.
Pretty cool, ey? This is a shot I took a couple minutes after I took off to go home. One of the interesting things about this picture is that aqueduct (fancy name for 'gutter') that conveniently leads right into the beach! So you can swim in gutter water (weather permitting) any time of the year!
I didn't have any maps with me but I think this is the stadium for LA's football team??? I don't know but it sure looks cool.
Another cool one. This is somewhere out in the desert -- California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona?? The Grand Canyon was visible from the plane, (the pilot announced it to everyone like he did with the Crater on the flight to California) but I was sitting on the wrong side (DOH!). It was too crowded for me to go climbing on top people to get some pictures so I just had to miss out on that opportunity. I actually thought about it before the flight and I thought I was sitting on the right side to see it but I missed my first flight (oh God, ask me about that one some time) which was going to Phoenix and got this one which went to Salt Lake City. I think when I got on the plane I was thinking Phoenix -- which was farther south, not north like Salt lake. So, like I said, I missed it.
This is the last picture I took on the way home. This is part of the maintain range surrounding Salt Lake City, Utah.

By themselves, meaningless, but the monetary value changes things completely. I like to keep little trinkets I collect on my trips sometimes. I have some stuff like this from my drive across country too.
