year is beginning, it's time to remember the past 365 days. I'm gonna tell you a little about what made 1998 special to me, and you'll have a chance to share your year with the world as well!
In June of 1998, I graduated middle school, and in August, I began a new era of my life known as high school. That was a big change, and I'm still going through the transition. I'm in a whole new world now. I'm surrounded by different people and I see different things. It was a huge change for me, but change is good.
I was confirmed on May 31, 1998. He was very special. It was a very awesome experience. It was so special, I made a separate page for it, which you can check out here.
There's another special thing that comes to mind, well two of them actually. My aunt, Dondra, got two new dogs. Dazy died in May, and in June she got Boston from Muskogee, Oklahoma. Then in September, she got Bliss from a town near Jackson, Michigan. I was there when Boston arrived, and I went along with her to pick up Bliss. They are two very special dogs!
I went to a Matchbox 20 concert on August 18. That was a wonderful experience. It was alot of fun! I went with my aunt, Dondra. She's alot of fun herself! Even though we had to leave before the encore (lol), it was well worth all that it took to get there. I can't wait until they come to Michigan again!
1998 was also the year that I got my drums! that was something that I have wanted for as long as I can remember. I'm so happy to have them, and I hope to learn how do play well!
I got my job at the church in 1998! That has really been a blessing. I am learning all the time, and I get to work with alot of great, very special people. I value the experience, and I hope to continue the work for years to come!
There are a couple more things that made my year pretty special. Two of them have to do with the internet. Well, here they are:
I got to know some important people this year. I knew them in 1997, but I didn't REALLY know them until 1998. I'm talking about Diane and Mike. I met them in the fall of '97. I never really knew them nearly as well as I do now until spring/summer 1998. There are a lot of other online friends I could mention, but I knew yall in 1997, and this is a 1998 page, remember?
The other internet-related thing is my homepage. Yes, it was created in 1997, but I really got into it in 1998. It's been a real learning experience for me. I love this page, and I hope to continue it for years to come. It made me get a goal....something to really work at. It made me want to go into a computer-related career.
