To A Distant Love

I sit here in deep thought,
Thinking of what you are doing now.
I lay here also in thought,
Wanting it to be us some how.
It is us that matters,
To me that is the only way.
To be next to each other,
I try to think of things to say.
It is hard for me you know,
For my mind and heart is yours so much.
All my thoughts go into us,
Knowing how much I miss to feel your touch.
You may be alone and so am I,
But I look always for being next to you.
Knowing that is what I want,
To feel that love we have so true.
So through the space between us,
The love we have keeps us going.
That is what makes it the best,
Not thinking about our love but knowing.
I wait to hear your voice,
To look into your eyes this day.
All the way through all tomorrows,
To being together is always the best way.
So know that my heart is yours,
Full of love that is you and me.
For always as we grow old,
For where ever you are I certainly will be.
