Win My Award

Currently I am no longer giving out awards. I started giving out awards back when I was a college student, where I had much more time. After I started working part time, finished college, and now working full time and relocating out of my hometown, I no longer have time to look at sites for consideration of an award. I don't know if or when I will go back to doing so. Thank you to those who have applied in the past.

I have two different awards here. The award for Kewl and Creative Home Page Award is much harder to receive. I'm very picky about who I give this one to. The other award is Nice Work Home Page Award which is easier to receive. You can either nominate your own site or another individual's. I might even reward a site that hasn't even applied.

What am I am looking for are:

- The site is a reflection of you

- Appearance and originality

- Use of colors, graphics, fonts

- Content (what subjects, topics you have on your page, mainly if there is a lot of variety)

- Signed my guestbook, if not I will delete your entry

- Overall if I enjoyed my visit to the site

Your page should not:

- look like something put together for the sake of having a home page

- be full of just links to other sites

- be put together by another individual (it's alright if you work with another individual or group)

- have anything on hatred, racism, rated-X or anything that is illegal

- be totally under construction, and have too many broken images

I will not judge on:

- loading time (not unless everything is jumbled up together and is a big mess.) Everyone has different machines, different internet connections and the times when viewing pages will vary depending on traffic (a lot of people tend to forget that, not keeping that in mind)

- whether or not you use frames, java, animation, background sound, I can care less

If you would like to nominate your site or another individual's site, send me an e-mail with the subject, "Award Application," and the following info:

- name of the creator

- the URL

- description of the site (what does your site offer or have in it, etc.; I don't want to know why you think you deserve an award)

I will choose the award that I feel the page deserves. The recipient will know if he or she has won an award when notified by e-mail. It will take me awhile since I am busy with both work and class. If awarded, I will ask that with the award image, to be downloaded to your server and link it back to my home.
