<waits patiently for applause at ALL>
<waits for those darned crickets to shut-up and stop dropping pins>
Hiyas!   My name (to you all in the cyber world, anyway) is brightspot! <grins>  My friends call me brightie...and this is the long awaited page about me....it tells a little more about the brightspot IRL, and just what it is that makes me who I am....for real!
I live in Cincinnati Ohio.  I was born in Springfield, and lived for most of my life in Columbus, till I met my dear husband, fell in love, and followed him down here.  I work for Intelliseek and PlanetFeedback, which are both really interesting companies.  I love my work there, I wouldn't trade it for anything!  PlanetFeedback is a consumer feedback website...you can write a suggestion, complaint, compliment whatever to any company from one place!  It's really neat.
Until February 1998, I was employed by CompuServe, a job I adored...however, as sometimes happens with buyouts (aka AOL buys out CompuServe and every other web program brightie loves - I think Steve Case has a thing for me...), I was laid off, along with 500 other unfortunate souls.   On the bright side, I then found a great job working for technical consulting firm called Renaissance Worldwide, Inc.   The people were fantastic, we had a lot of fun, and I seemed to fit right in!   I started as a payroll assistant, but was very soon promoted to Operations Assistant, where I got to work a lot on retention and loyalty, which I adored!!!  I also became the communications processes owner, which was a big challenge.  I worked for some of the best people in the world...Vernon Chapman, Bill Dohan, Jim Pierce...the BEST! : )  I was also enrolled at Ohio Domincan College.  But due to meeting my hubby and having a baby, I was forced to move on to Cincinnati.  Which is ok, too!
And then there are the important things in my life!  I have three kids....and since I don't use my real name, I'll not use theirs either...lesse, I have one son, who's 8 now!!  (where does the time go?!?!), we'll call him G.G. Bean - .a holy terror that one, but also the light of my heart! He grows like a weed, is smart as a whip, handsome as the devil and just as clever!!!   And then there's KitCat.  My lil angle from heaven is 6  now <sob wail sob!>, and a sweeter little doll you could not find on this earth....she has mild cerebral palsy, but it doesn't keep her down.  She reads, writes, runs - she's amazing.  And now there's LeiLei, who's almost 3.  She is blonde haired, blue eyed, and the perfect little Amazon.  I love them ALL!
I also have a large family, and believe in the strength that comes from family bonds.   That said, I have to stop and say God Bless my family, especially my mother, for everything they have always done for me...without them, I would be nothing.  My mother, Mrs.C, has worked hard all her life for us, and can be very sweet & patient woman I know.  Goodness knows she put up wif a LOT from me! (let alone my brothers) <grins>  I have three brothers...Coolio, ToolMan, and Fishboy (wish you'd been nicer to me growing up, now, don't you?!? HA HA HA....lil SIS has da web power!!!!!) <whistles SheRa theme> Anyways, they're all grown and have families of their own....my sis in laws, God's Girl,  Mom-o-3 and Tam-O-Sham are the *BEST*...and I have 7 nephews and 5 nieces now, all of whom I think the world revolves around....a bit on da wild side sometimes, but what do you expect being the offspring of people names Coolio, Toolman  and Fishboy, eh? LOL!!!  On the serious side, I also have a little brother...a half brother...Brett Coolidge.  I believe he lives in Chillicothe.  If anyone knows him, please tell him his big sister loves and misses him, and wants to see him again.
As for me....what keeps da spot bright?   Well, the web.  I'm a chatter.  I am also a writer, and spend most of my writing time either in my IRL journal for my kids, or on LiveJournal.   I've also writen for fun a lot, as you can see, and would love to make a career of it someday.   I prolly still have a lot to learn, but that's what life's for, right?  <;See brightie's theories of life!! : )  I also love web building, (see my new VirtualChild site!) horseback riding, reading, chatting on line (could you tell? the keyboard is physically attached to my fingers, really....LOL)
Well, I guess that's everything! <prods ya gently> Wake up....you shouldn't snore while you're surfing the web, it's rude, and if you're at work,  you'll get busted... besides, you're drooling into your keyboard! <grins> <winks>
