Poem 2 : Each Life Affects Another

We may not always realise that everything we do 

Affects not only our lives but touches others too 

A single happy smile,  A little bit of thoughtfulness that shows someone you care 

Creates a ray os sunshine for both of you to share 

For happiness brings happiness and loving ways bring love  

And giving is the treasure that contenment is made of . 

Can you spare a moment throughout a busy day 

To chat to someone lonely you meet along your way 

So many folks are lonely and need a little care 

A word or two of comfort you could easily spare 

And by your understanding and little things you've done 

You'll make the day much brighter and a far less lonely one . 

Poem 3 : Getting The Best Out Of Life

All the world is engaged in the pursuit of happiness 

The happy man is he who finds joy in the positive approach to life 

and the absence of fear 

A confident and enthusiastic attitude must, when we learn to live a day at a time, 

produce those qualities in our lives 

As yesterday is history, and tomorrow may never come 

I have resolved from this day on, I will do all the good I can 

willingly and save my digestion by thinking pleasantly. 

Be thanksful for a new day. 

The world will claim if it can, your soul won't be your own 

Unless you break away sometime and dare to be alone 

And rest awhile from all the noise, the bustle and the din 

To find yourself and lean upon the power that is within 

Don't rush round to the doctor when you think your nerves are frayed 

For medicine won't heal the heart that troubled and dismayed 

Tune in and get harmony with things that are divine 

And seek the very peace of God that no man can define. 

Poem 4 : The Weaver

My life is but a weaving 

Between my Lord and me 

I cannot choose the colours 

He worketh steadily. 

Of times He weaveth sorrow 

And I in foolish pride 

Forget He sees the upper 

And I, the underside. 

Not till the loom is silent 

And the shuttles cease to fly 

Shall God unroll the canvas 

And explain the reason why. 

The dark threads are as needful 

In the weaver's skillful hand 

As the threads of gold and silver 

In the pattern He has planned 

Unless the LORD has given me help, 

I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

Poem 5 : God Gave Me A Treasure In You

God answered my heart's deepest prayer the day He gave me you 

God gave me a great treasure of immence and untold worth, 

And brought a touch of Heaven to my lifetime here on earth 

For He sent me someone wonderful, an angel from above, 

When He blessed me with the gift of you - my friend, my joy, my love
