I am a NAUI Divemaster with the Mako Sub-Aquatics.

I just love the sea.  A saying goes, " a bad day's diving is better than a good day at work".  Others will agree that "divers do it deeper, come up wetter and are always satisfied".

TAN Shih Pin, a fellow scuba diving instructor, got married in a very unusual manner...   this was also featured in the various local newspapers.

Organised by the Singapore Underwater Federation, some divers with Mako Sub-Aquatic made a visit to Republic of Singapore Navy's Naval Hyperbaric Centre, a key facility in diver care in this (South-East Asian) region.

DSO National Laboratories Recreation Club organised its inaugural scuba diving trip to Pulau Aur.  Mako Sub-Aquatics conducted the NAUI Scuba Diver programme.  Read about their experience.

Divers with Mako Sub-Aquatics made a diving trip to Pulau Pemmangil, hauled themselves out of bed real early in the morning to get into a boat so that they could see this astronomical event.

Being underwater is an inherently dangerous: there is always the danger of drowning and death. 

However, scuba diving as a sport can be conducted safely. 

Safety through education: individuals who wish to dive should seek proper training and certification with a recognised training agency (e.g. NAUI) before undertaking any diving.

The early designs of this website included Java. Due to some problems with display on different machines, work is ongoing to remove the Java and simplify to just HTML.
