Household Hints & Cleanup Tips

This I dedicate this page to those products that I have found that make cleaning so much easier and more rewarding. These are all products that I have used and I can attest that they work wonders!

The first product I have found that I just can NOT live without is called.....

This product is wonderful for removeing just about anything that is sticky or oily. I have personally used it to remove bumperstickers, gum from hair, gum from carpet, crayon from walls and wooden tables, grease from clothing, labels off of jars, and childrens stickers from various places. It also has a wonderful citrus smell. You should be able to find this at any store.

Next is a product that I have recently found for my laundry.........

This product is from Carbona who also produces wonderful specialized stain removers. The Dye Magnet is a cloth that contains millions of dye catchers that soak up the dyes that are relesed from your clothes. It also will pick up grunge from the water. My whites used to turn a yellow color that you didnt notice until you bought something new that was white, but the dye magnet keeps the whites brilliant. It keeps new clothes bleeding onto the rest. The directions say that you can wash whites and lights with your dark colors without seperating. I never have tried that yet, but I can tell a big difference in my other clothes. You can get this at most discount stores.

The third product I have found virtually eliminates all other products needed for cleaning......

These are special cloths made from Sweden. This cloth has a special weave that soaks up the dirt. You use it without any cleaners of any kind. I know it sounds funny, but It really works! I have one and I love it. There are a few rules...........you cant use cleaners when cleaning or use bleach or softner when you launder it. They say it ruins the weave. There is one drawback...It costs $20. I know! I said the same thing, but I tried a friends for a week and decided I wanted one of my own. You are supposed to save money in the long run because you dont buy any cleaners. The rags last with proper care (so Im told) up to five years. My friend has told me they are great for removeing stuborn makeup like waterproof mascara without specail makeup remover (although Id use a different one then the one you clean with!) You can only get these through dealers and I am not sure how wide spread these are so if you want one you can email me and I'll get my dealer to send you one. They do have a moneyback garantee on them so if you are not satisfied you can send it back to her. My friend who lent me hers runs a house cleaning business for some upscale homes Kansas City and the only thing she uses besides a toilet bowl cleaner and brush is this rag. (Saves ALOT of money) From floors (comes in a mop too!) to windows and counter, mirrors and sinks. She hasn't has a complaint about her job yet!
