I was never very politically active in the past but lately I have been reading a bit
and I am appalled at the things that go on in this country. I would like to
read some more and become involved in some groups but there is so much out there I'm not
sure where to begin. If anybody can give me any suggestions, it would be appreciated.
I am particularly interested in religious freedom since I have been studying
different religions for the past year or so and have realized the level of
intolerance that is out there, especially for the "minor", non-mainstream
religions. When I hear "America, the land of the free," I want to puke.

I would like to comment on some of the oppinions that I read about here. First......
School. I think that the system of school is described best by Thomas Hobbes' book
Leviathan. Written in 1651 it states: To avoid "the chaos of their natural
state" people enter into a contract in which they agree ( perhaps unknowingly) to
give up freedom to a ruler (principal) who in turn ensures law and order. They cannot
rebel (Without consequences) because they have agreed to submit to a higher
authority no matter what the form.
And as for people saying that Communism is bad. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! I
live in Canada, supposedly a Democratic country but it isn't! Democracy is where ultimate
power is with the people. But as soon as a party is elected into possition they change.

I'd like to fill some people in on a situation you might find interesting. Those
of you who live in California and read the front page every once and a while should know
what I'm about to talk about. I've got a problem with the way Pete Wilson is trying
to keep California's Native American tribes down. In southern california, many of
these tribes own Casinos, such as Barona, Viejas, and Sycuan. They have casinos on
their own land, the "reservations" that our government "set aside" for
them to do with as they please. Yet, as we speak, Pete Wilson, governor of
California, just struck a deal with the Pala Indians, whom do NOT have their own casino,
and in this deal which the government EXPECTS other tribes to follow is this:
The existing casinos MUST divide their machines evenly between ALL tribes in California.
They are making a new "Lottery Style" machine to replace "illegal"
slot and video poker machines, and once the machines are distributed, the tribes are
expected to hand over the "illegal" machines.
Everything will be divided evenly, even though certain tribes have spent their hard earned
money. They are basically going to have the money they raised on their own taken
from them, and given to those who haven't done the same.
Pete Wilson has made every effort to enforce any plan to keep minorities down. He
was a firm backer of Prop. 187 which crippled the rights of mexican immagrants.
The current situation now confirms that he doesn't support anything in the interest of
minorites in the state of california.
If these indian reservations have been set aside for the native american tribes, as THEIR
OWN country, THEIR OWN land, to do WHAT THEY WISH with it, then what business does this
government have telling them what they can do with it?
I ask those of you who are concerned about this situation to send me email. I will
be organizing an online petition, and setting up a webpage describing the situation, and
informing those who may not know about this situation. Everyone who emails me will
recieve a forwarded copy of the petition to be sent to Pete Wilson, and President Clinton.
What they are doing is unfair, and they have been doing the same things to native
americans since they colonized this land.

I think America is a lot better than most countries in the world, however I believe
that it could use a change. So many people are blind to the government ways and
need some education before speaking out against or for the United States government.
I see alot of kids that are talking about how school sucks and how they will
never need to know some of the things that they are learning. An education is the
most important thing you can have in fighting against the government. Learn all you
can to help better your knowledge to fight for our true freedom. Just an example of
how blind some people can be: I am a college student and am taking English writing
classes. I hear so many people in my class argue about how marijuana will someday be
legal. WHAT??????? There is no chance in hell that will come true especially
if we have the same government. Look at what has happened to tobacco. We can't
even advertise anymore. Isn't that a violation of free speech? If we are
having problems with tobacco, there is no way in hell that marijuana is going to be
legalized. Don't try to achieve too much too soon! Small things will
eventually build up to large things.
Help out all you can! So many people have died fighting for the little amount of
freedom we have. They have died defending our flag. To me, the flag is the
biggest symbol to what represents our country. It is what our country is founded on.
Unfortunately, lately, the government is not upholding the true freedoms that our
flag represents. The government does need change, and we the people are the only
ones who can bring about that change.

allright, here i go. basically, i think the government sucks, and it should be
removed. no, i do not want anarchy, because bad rule is better than no rule. i have
one question: why is a person, organization, whatever, that tries to overthrow the US
government branded a terrorist and thrown into a prison to rot for the rest of their life
or executed? the US constitution gives us the right to remove the government when it
begins to fall apart and to put in a new one. so literally, we are having our
constitutional rights denied when we are not allowed to change the government. and
to all those people that say our politicians are doing a fine and dandy job, take another
good look. is a 5 trillion dollar debt a good job? is infringing on our second
amendment right by banning weapons doing a good job? if the government succeds in
banning guns then we will be defenseless. only criminals and the government will
have weapons. we will have no way to fight back against anything. i don't know
who said it, but a great quote that i've read was "a man with a gun is a citizen.
a man without a gun is only a subject." i will never submit to the rule
of mr. william jefferson clinton and his ass-kissing group of supporters. it's like
the american dream has just turned into having to be ruled by politicans and be their
little lap-dog. i say start a war and start KILLING some of those FUCKS that have
turned "the land of opportunity" into a wasteland. GET YOUR GUNS NOW
BEFORE "BIG BROTHER" COMES LOOKING FOR YOU. united we no longer stand,
because we are not united. this country is a giant mix of cultures and races and the
US government is sticking with their policy of trying to force everybody into one group.

we live in a republic, which is slowly turning socalist, what with it's government health
care, it's problems with welfare, public schools being turned into government education
centers, and a fat-assed bastard of a president who bows to special interest groups and
takes bribes from the chinese. slowly the children of america are being turned into
mindless beings who will do whatever their leaders tell them. you never see the
horrors that this country has inflicted upon
others in your school books, you only see the good things. how we fought for freedom
and liberty.

the only way that this country will ever end it's downward spiral is if we bomb the
fuckers in DC off the face of this earth. what the hell, just bomb DC off the face

others." when my freedom is taken, i will not go quietly. i will never be

Communism is a great system, IN THEORY. Problems occur during the supposed
redistribution of the wealth, when the person or persons responsible for initiating the
reform can simply decide not to redistribute any money at all and keep it all for
themselves. This is exactly what happened in the Soviet Union, which is why poverty levels
there were so high. Granted, poverty levels there are much higher there now, but this is
due to the fact that it takes many years to readjust to a completely different form of
life. It may be argued that a capitalistic nation like the United States has just as many
poor people as communist nations, but look at the facts. Russia accepeted almost no
immigrants during its communist period, because it did not want the true extent of their
brutalities to their own people and puppet states to be known. The US, the most prosperous
country in the world, attracted millions of immigrants from third-world countries where
the standard of living is!
incredibly low. Most ended up on welfare or had minimum wage jobs, which sill payed more
than any in their parental countries. The entire democratic system does not need to be
given up for a completly communistic way of life where civil liberties are frowned upon.
Instead, the democratic system needs to be overhauled, taking power away from the large
federal "government" and giving more to state and local governments so they may
decide what is best for their people. For those of you who genuinely believe in a
communist system in America, I am truly sorry. There are so few American communists that
it is unlikley that even one representative will be elected to office on the local level,
let alone become president. And now that the Soviet Union is no longer communist, takeover
seems unlikley unless by China, who barely has 20 or so nukes capable of reaching America,
while we have thousands capable to kill every last one of the 1.2 billion in that country,
which seems to be on the way to reform itself.

Shit I started to read Reagans speech but thats just too much bullshit. he said when
history looks back on us...... Fuck that we write history every single text
book not just in america but in the world is biased all history is biased. The text book
in my shcool happens to be written by three white male christians, not that I have
anything against most of them because I am white and I am male but Christianity and most
world religions really piss me off . Throughout history Christians and other
institutional religions have always had god on their side. "THOSE WHO DIED ARE
JUSTIFIED FOR WEARING A BADGE IN THEIR CHOSEN WHITE". To me "their chosen
white" is their cause that they blindly follow. If a rebellion is one man using
something to justify his quest for power than it is not a rebellion. We had good reasons
to rebel against the english and I believe that the anti-PRI movement has a better

Don't know 'bout you, guyz, but here, in Poland, we have
great big problems with gettin all sorts of gear. Amps and guitars
are verry expensive, ao if you want to buy yourself a decent

My point is, that those, who are wealthy should help
the poorer misicians. Ithink, they shoud establish a charity of some sort, like

I agree that the system today sucks, but it is possible to go to far. I am a
Marxist and I think the whole capitalist philosophy of oppresing anyone to get more wealth
is fucked. The system definetely needs change. What irritates me is people who
say ignorant things like "kill all the fucking police", or anarchy is a viable
system. Ya, some police are corrupt, and need to be fucked over good, but without
police you wouldn't be enjoying things half as much, especially when someone decided to
kill you for your views and no one could stop them. Instead of "kill all the
police" why not say get the fucking racist, corrupt cops out, hire real cops.
And what exactly is everyones problem with Christians. I can see that some so-called
Christians have done some pretty fucked up things in the past, but so has every other
religion, and no one seems to have a problem with them. People who say they are
Christians, but who are racists, or who support things like the oppression in South
America and Mexico, are not Christians. Theyre dumb fucks.

I was worried about taking too much space up at once that I didn't have the opportunity
to elucidate on some of my expressed opinions.
First of all, to all those who have written to censure those who condemn
communism without having the slightest idea what it is about, I say hurrah! I am
sick and tired of being told I am evil because I am of the opinion that Marx had the right
idea. Perhaps the beautiful idea of communism was bastardized, leading to Stalinist
Russia, but if you read Trotsky, he sadly admitted that they messed up when they began to
think that they were the brain and not the voice of the people. Wake up, all of you
who tell us to "Stop bitching." That is what happens in our country every
day they don't care about us--or most of us, anyway. Case in point: my father
went to Vietnam, and he was still seen as a second-class citizen for being Chicano. (Even
he admits they had no business being there.) I refuse to serve any country who only
sees all of its citizens as equals only when they are there to die.
I have a Masters Degree and plan to pursue a PhD. next year for your
information, since apparently those of us who complain "have no education." (I
believe that's what one of you said.) That is of little consequence when you realize
that the majority of the things you learn in school is told from the perspective of the
WASP MALE. The greatest thing we can do for ouselves and others is to educate
ourselves read so you can make your own decision. All my life I grew up
hearing that communism is evil, so I finally read Marx, Trotsky, Lenin, Guevara, etc.
I found that these were people dedicated to bringing equality to people regardless
of race or sex. They were willing to disrupt their lives or relinquish them to make
a difference. Anarchists like Ricardo Flores Magon and Emma Goldman were sent into
exile. Magon died in a US prison, murdered. What does that tell you? In
essence, anarchists and communists have in common the idea that this world will be a
better place once people forgo the goverment and stand up to be heard personally.
Unfortunately, like Marx and Subcomandante Marcos and others have
stated, sometimes violent means are the only way to ensure a complete and momentous
revolution. If so, I support that, and although I have primarily a pacific nature, I
would gladly take up arms if that meant I no longer have to see starving children selling
gum and junk at 4am on the bridge between my city and Mexico. Read Marcos' letters,
when he says that they are tired of seeing their children running around lice-ridden and
full of worms, while the government uses the money for devious means. If you can
hear all this and still be unmoved, or nevertheless question our complaints or methods for
relieving them, then we don't need you. ike Guevara's ideal, we only need people
that are willing to place the good of all before personal gain. "Para nosotros,
nada. Para todos, todo."
But just think about this next time you are sitting in your comfortable home surrounded by
the luxuries of life: if you do nothing, you are only one of the many vampires that exists
through the death of others.

Rage is more than great music, they're an alternative source of media, rather than punk

IN HEALTH CARE DOLLARS EVERY YEAR? IS THERE A SNIPER AT YOUR WINDOW MAKING SURE YOU EAT
THAT LAST BOX OF TWINKIES SO THAT YOU BECOME SO OVER WEIGHT THAT YOU ARE FORCED TO STAY IN

Too many of us sit back and wait for things to happen. Meanwhile, people are out in the
nation trying to stop the greed and corruption which all too often accompanies the
government. Thousands of people are being silenced by censorship and others are
being silenced by the pandemic known as AIDS. The initiative
taken by activists are often seen as extreme, but so were the actions taken by the
founders of our "great nation". If we continue to think that these actions
are too extreme and turn our backs from participating and trying to change the system,
then more will die and be silenced. The time for change is always present and
no one should think otherwise. ACT UP!
