This new feature was created on March 6, 1998. It was formerly known as the Underexposed Band of the Month

This months band is Ben Folds Five (by request). The only reason that their debut "Whatever and Ever Amen" (See photo) didn't make my best of '97 list was that I didn't buy the album until after the list came out. Ben Folds Five is a three man rock group without a guitar from North Carolina that combines the piaon stylings of Billy Joe, with the fun southern rock sense of Dave Matthews Band. They recently released "Naked Baby Photos" an album of both new tracks and live songs. I highly recommend picking up both discs.
