Departure was held on March 21st, 1998. It was put on by the Variety Coalition as a fund-raising event for CHSR-FM, Fredericton's campus/community radio station. We had a great turnout - many people from other cities around the maritimes showed up for such a novel event (a rave in Fredericton, that is.)
After all was said and done (and cleaned up after) we bagged over $2000 for CHSR. Thanks to everybody who made it happen!
The night started off at 9:00pm with three hours of indie hiphop from around the maritimes. On the bill were:
