Dizzy Reed: the page

Dizzy ReedWell, this page is dedicated to every fan of this awesome keyboardist, who we know, of course, as member of the uncredible Guns N' Roses. He almost joined them back in 1987, but he had an accident and for next 3 years he recovered from this crash. He joined Guns in 1990, and since then he's STILL the member of the band, the only member from the legendary line-up except for W.Axl Rose who is still in the band. This page is my small tribute to him, I hope that with your help this Dizzy's page will get bigger and nicer  and together we'll make this page to be the main Dizzy's site in the Web.
So I invite every true fan of Dizzy Reed to contact me at: Ronnie_Stradlin@yahoo.com. And now, go forward!

Dizzy Reed: the short history

Dizzy's real name - Darren Reed, he was born in Hinsdale, IL., on July 18th, 1963. He, as every rock'n'roller who wanted to become somebody, moved to L.A. in the mid-Eighties and joined club band 'The Wild' as a keyboardist. Then his own road got crossed with Guns N' Roses' motorized highway, and they invited him to join the band - they needed keyboards for the new turn in their music. But, as we already said, accident happened and Dizzy couldn't join the band for 3 long years. He joined them only in 1990, together with Matt Sorum, Steven Adler's replacement. As with Matt, his first live show with Guns was 'Rock In Rio II' famous performance on Maracana.
Next big work with the group, was, of course, "Use Your Illusion" album recording. The album was released in 1991, but even before it Guns' were on their first headline tour in USA, called "Get In The Ring" - it was pretty 'wretched' tour, with fights, controversies, fan riots and such.
After "UYI" release, Dizzy went on another tour with the band, world "UYI" tour, that continued more than for two years. In late 1993 Guns N' Roses released their last album, called " The Spaghetti Incident? ". It was an album that featured 13 punk, glam and simply rock'n'roll covers, and Dizzy, of course, appeared on much of the tracks.
It was the last album of Guns, and last Dizzy's work with them, but seems like he still in the band, whereas every other members that prevously played in Guns N' Roses are already out of it, except, like I've already said, G.N'R chief Axl Rose.
Dizzy also took part in side projects of Guns N' Roses members like Duff McKagan, Gilby Clarke and Slash.
