"Few things about me."

I'm not so great with biographies, cuz they remind me too much of English essay assignments and English is not my well-liked subject. So, I recommend checking out other sites for Liz's biography. What is this page for? My story of how I got into Liz.

I'm a big supporter of Lilith Fair, so any article about the Fair, I'd read. In almost all of the articles one name kept popping up in the articles: Liz Phair. Out of curiosity, I bought Exile in Guyville about two weeks before whitechocolatespaceegg's release and was totally hooked on that cd. I found myself listening to it about four or five times a day. It was then I realized I had heard some of Liz's songs before. I can recall of hearing "Fuck and Run" and "Flower" in my older sister's car and this would have been around 1995. Back to my story, being addicted to EIG, I went back to the store and bought Juvenilia and Supernova single. Whip-Smart came after that. So I caught up on most of Liz's available discography in less than two weeks.

During those two weeks, I joined the 6'1" mailing list so I could talk about Liz's music. This was one of the best things that ever happened to me because everything I know about Liz came from this wonderful group of Liz fans. A friend of mine was surprised to hear how long I've been into Liz's music and I told her it all came from the mailing list, now called support-system. Many thanks to them.

August 11, 1998 - release of WCSE. I drove directly from school to the store to get my copy and was allowed to put it on the big stereo system in our house. I didn't like it at first, but with me, I have to let a cd grow on me. By Thursday rolled around (two days later), I must have listened to the cd about fifteen times.

It was also that Thursday where I started my page, The Village of Lilith Fair, with the help of a friend Sara. Of course I tortured her with WCSE and she couldn't stand it. I gave her the nickname of "Turning Japanese chick" after introducing her to "Turning Japanese" because the song made me think of her, since she's a big fan of the Japanese animantion Sailor Moon.

Out of all of Liz's songs, "Perfect World" is my personal favorite. I can't offer a reason why I like it so much, I just do. Then when I got the WCSE import and heard "Hurricane Cindy, that became another favorite.

How did I come about this page? When I got tired of managing The Village of Lilith Fair all the time and wanted to dedicate a page just for Liz. Picking a name was quite hard and thought Perfect World would be great, but that wouldn't be fair for Jenny, who manages Cool, Tall, Vulnerable and Luscious. So what was the other possibility? The Spaceegg Corner is what I decided to call it. I'm addicted to the word 'spaceegg' and have adopted as a way of cheering people up by saying, "Have a spaceeggy day!"
