• His full name is Duncan Scott Sheik.



• He has brown hair and brown eyes.



• He is 28 years old.



• His birthday is November 18, 1969



• One of his songs called "Stranger Than True was on an opening of Melrose Place.



• He had a record deal with Immortal Records for two years, but never produced an album. Eventually he was bought off of there by Atlantic Records.



• He graduated from Brown University in 1992



• Most of the instruments on the record were played by Duncan with exception of the drums, some of the bass, and the strings.



• In regard to his music he thinks he is best as a songwriter and guitarist, but he is growing more confidence in being a vocalist as time goes by.



• He listens to Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Bjork, and some of Oasis.



• He started playing the piano at 5.



• His debut album was recorded in a 150-year-old chateau in Precy-sur-Oise. It is 45 minutes from Paris and owned by producer Rupert Hine.



• He spent his first 5 years in New Jersey and then moved to South Carolina.



• The first band he was in was called "Slightly Off". He was 12 years old and in a band with high school guys.



• In his teens he listened to: The Smiths, Tears For Fears, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Blue Nile, Nick Drake, David Sylvian, Cocteau Twins,l and Talk Talk.



• While at Brown University he was a guitarist in a band with musician Lisa Loeb, called Liz and Lisa.



• While he was signed to Immortal Records, but not recording anything he wrote songs. When he was signed to Atlantic he had 25 songs to choose from.



• He was signed to Atlantic after he gave an acoustic show in his house to the President of Atlantic, the General Manager of Atlantic, and his A&R person.



• He considers himself more of a dog person, rather than a cat person.



• His first car was an Audi 5000 which was a hand-me-down from his mother.



• He enjoys drinking red wine.



• He smokes, but not too much. He say, "After a show, I tend to need a cigarette but I try to limit it to that.



• He claims that he never leaves home without chanting.



• Duncan is a Buddhist.



• His mother's cousin introduced him to Buddhism.



• When he was recording the guitar track in the chateau in France he "spent most of the time with two space heaters really close to me so I didn't freeze to death.
