~ Concert Personality ~

"What is he DOING?" you ask yourself, then laugh. Not only is it amusing to find that this German group has a keyboard player, but it's charming the way the keyboardist finds a way to beat standing still while playing on stage!

As you are watching the man in the back right corner, you giggle at his "dancing". It definitely spices up the stage antics even more, you admit. The blond just . . . jumps around while playing the keyboard, often only with one hand while the other is waving in the air. It adds a dorkiness to the concert and makes everyone laugh *AND* cheer him on enthusiastically. . . You really enjoy his playing you decide, especially where he either begins the song on his own or is left to finish a piece off, such as *Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen* where the keyboard is really nice in the ending or in *Asche Zu Asche*, where the organ just hits that right sound.

Suddenly, just when you thought that's ALL this man did, you quickly find out that you were wrong- there's MORE.

As the lead singer goes on singing *Bück Dich*, the keyboard player deserts his instrument and goes down to the "main level" where the singer is, then proceeds to crawl on hands and knees. He's wearing a shirt, SHORTS, and a collar with chain. The singer grabs ahold of the chain and begins to drag the keyboard player around the front of the stage. Then, the blond stands up and runs back to the keyboard to jam during the song's chorus. You breath a sigh of relief- you were beginning to wonder there! Hmm, just how hard is that guy pulling on that chain, anyway? you ponder.

Then, it happens AGAIN, this time with a twist! The blond ends up in a . . . er . . . unique situation where he is "sodomized" after his shorts are unzipped in the back by the singer (it's a dramatization, but you still feel a bit sick to the stomach). THEN, after being sprayed with the mix of milk-water, he runs back to the keyboard and stays there for the rest of the song.

You begin to question the man's sanity and personality . . . . while trying to erase the picture from your mind (you noticed the girls beside you were really into the whole situation, then wonder how they could do that)

Flake is the last of the three who is REALLY different from his on-stage self. While he is quite active on stage and is often picked on by everyone- and cheered on by the fans- in real life he's pretty quiet and serious! Occasionally, you may find him wondering around the venue in a laid back state. But really, things are different off-stage. :)

Some misc facts:

i) dating/marriage status unknown
ii) we know that Flake has a daughter . . . . supposedly she is the youngest of the Rammstein Children (aww)
iii) The man has NUMEROUS looks. With a swift cut of the hair or the removal of glasses he can look different (seriously, look at the picture above then watch the *Engel* or *Du Hast* or look at the Electric Chair/Engel Single Photoshoot!)
iv) Watch the FVTour video and watch the part where Ryan (Orgy) is with Till & Flake- Flake's face is priceless when it comes to Ryan kissing the two guys (he's a little unsure about the situation!)
v) he's very, very, VERY down-to-earth
vi) we can never forget the always-awesome *Seemann* gig-- it is Flake's THING to crowd surf in that rubber dingy with pride. A cool, happening idea. :o)
vii) Flake was the fifth person in the band
viii) In the beginning, Flake didn't originally WANT to be in the band (he thought they were boring . . . . well . . . . um . . ) but eventually, he agreed, and now he's happy about it. :)
ix) he contributes to writing music :)
