Melbourne SKA
Ska's been round for ages in Melbourne, but with the resurgence of Ska over the past few years more and more ska bands seem to be popping up.
Check out these bands:
These guys have been round for awhile now and have a huge following and rightly so. They are probably the biggest Ska band in Melbourne and are hitting it big thru Australia now!
They consist of seven guys:
Stevo-Vocals, Chuck-guitar, Toby-trumpet, Alistair-sax, Dugald-keys, Rohan-bass and Dan on drums.
They put on a killer live show, with sooo much energy even if you hate skanking its hard not to stand still.
They have 3 EP's out "Road Rage", "No Logic" and "Bitter Words"
Check out their site.......you'll be damn impressed!

formerly known as Learn To Dance
Francis-Vox, Sal-bass, Andrew-drums, Myrah-trumpet, Tina-guitar, Dav-trombone
ok this band isn't really a Melbourne band, they're from down Portland/Warrnambool way, but they're from Vic so thats good enough for me.
They've played with bands such as VDGS, Millencolin, Cokehead Hipsters, Blue Meanies, Living End and heaps more....
They also have a song on the "File Under Ska" cd, which is a compilation of Vic Ska bands, called "Authority"
"Portland city Ska-Core"
Yes, folks, another band from Portland!
They're working on a demo at the moment, which will be out soon we hope.
