"WE NEED A NURSE!!!!!" Zac screamed, out of breath while hitting the nurses station.
"Zac, honey, I'll be ahhhhh, ohhhhh,ok, I'm fine. Really! Just get this baby out of me!!"
Zac had been the first to run off the elevator of the nine people in his family.Or at least, almost nine. The nurse soon led Mrs.Hanson to her room in a wheel chair with Walker by her side. Dianna left Isaac in charge while she said good-bye in between breathing puffs.
An hour later every person in the Hanson family were either pacing, tapping toes or fingers, or constantly watching their watch. That is everyone except for Mac and Tay. Mac kept asking questions, as of Tay, well he was bothering a nervous Issac who was eyeing a cute nurse.
"IKe you don't understand! I was suppost to meet them there! She's going to hate me forever. That's if she dosen't already hate me!" He looked at Isaac. "Ike, are you even listening to me!?!?"
"Yeah, yeah, Brittney, Josh, movies, loud and clear!" Isaac replied not even as much as looking at his brother.
"Well now she probably won't even talk to me!" Taylor started again.
But Ike interupted. "Do you thing she'd go out with me?"
"Who? Brittney?! Ike hello!?"
"No, not Brittney! That nurse!" Isaac explained.
"Oh well I don't know, but anyway, you know this is partly your fault!"
"My fault?" That caught Ike's attention. "How can your problem be my fault?"
"Well, if you hadn't of taken a fit that you had to drive the van, and how dad was taking the car, and didn't insist on making Zac and I get Mac, Avey and Jessie ready, then maybe I could have had time to call her before she left the house!" Tay said practically screaming.
"So why don't you just call her now?" Isaac asked.
"Well, she's probably still waiting for me on the corner, or gone somewhere, or won't answer the phone. But I'll call anyway."
He went to the pay phone down the hall. He pulled a quarter out of his pocket and dialed.
Once, twice, 3 times, 4,5,6,7... No answer. He hung up the phone.
"Man, where is she!?"
Brittney was at the movies right now with Josh. And may I add, just Josh. When they figured Tay wasn't going to meet them, the got Josh's dad to take them.
JOsh sat there watching Brittney. She was sipping on her pepsi, but in between sips she'd say, "Ypu idiot, he's behind that statue, oh my gosh, of my gosh!" and then she'd jump three feet out of her chair.
" She's pretty. Josh thought. Brittney was so right, Tay's a jerk for standing us up like that."
Brittney turned and looked at him. "What?"
"OH, nothing. You scared?" And then Brittney jumped again and grabbed Josh's arm.
"Sorry." she mumbbled. "Sometimes scary movies get to me."
"It's ok." It was a long shot but he took Brittney's hand in his.
She felt their fingers tough and she thought of pulling away but she didn't. "Why should I?" she thought. "It's not like I'm Taylor's girlfriend or anything, so what's the big deal? Josh is really nice too, so who cares! I'm sure Tay dosen't!"
By this time Tay was pacing. Half about the baby and half about Brittney. Actually, more about Brittney. He was more confuesed than ever about this whole situation.
It had been 2 hours and Tay was getting restless. He must have called Brittney's a million times, but still no answer. Then finally at 8:30 the hot nurse (according to Ike) came down the hall and annouced that they could come and see.
"Your new sister!" Mr.Hanson annouced joining the nurse in the hall.
There was a note on the door when brittney got home. It said that aunt Karen was gone out to the store and whould be back soon.
"So" Josh started. "I had fun."
"Yeah, me too."Brittney agreed. "It was a great movie!"
"yeah, didn't you like the part where they trapped those guys at the warewolf party, and attacted them when everyone turned into warewolves?" Josh recapped.
"Great. So great I didn't even look!" she laughed.
After they both stopped laughing, Brittney saw his deep blue eyes. HE moved closer, closer, put his arm around her shoulder and....
Brittney looked into his eyes again. They reminded her of Tay's. Blue, sweet, innocent and...
"I can't do this!" she annouced while moving back. "Thanks for a great evening, I'll see you at school tomorrow, ok? Good-night!" she said and ran into the house.
