Brittney threw herself onto her bed. Her mind was racing so fast, she didn't know what to do. All of a sudden she began to start missing about Ney York. Back home were her friends, her father, and where the house was never empty. She needed someone to talk to but she didn't know who. She couldn't call Michelle because it was about Josh and Tay, what would happen if she told one of them? She couldn't tell her dad that's for sure. And she couldn't call her friends back home because she hadn't told any of them that she even knew Taylor. Just incase they took a balist fit (in which they would), she didn't want to take that chance. And so for the first time in a while, Brittney felt completely alone.
Jessica leaned over Tay, staring at him while he slept. She eyed the glass of water she held in her hand devilishly. She stuck her finger in the glass of water and pulled it out. She let single drops from her finger onto Tay's forehead and nose. He would twich for a minute and then go back into his trance like sleep. Jessica found this quiet amusing, since she was the only one in the room awake, except for the nurses. But then one droplet of water missed Tay's forehead and ended up in his eye! He moaned and rolled over as he opened his eyes. The drops of water fell from his forehead onto his face.
Jessica laughed with delight as she watched her brother fuss as he wipped his face off.
"What do you think you're doing?" he sighed looking at his sister.
"Having fun!" she giggled setting down the glass of water.
"I want to go home. Excuse me, how Diana Hanson doing?" Taylor asked a nurse who was walking by.
"She's doing fine. She'll probably be discharged tomorrow." the nurse answered politely.
Turning back to Jessica, he asked "Want to go visit our baby sister until they wake up?"
"Sure"
They walked down a long hallway with painted storks on the walls. A long glass window displayed about ten babies.
"There she is!" Jessie cried.
She was so tiny. Small little fingers and toes, and practicly bald. She was so inocent looking, like no one in the world could ever touch that baby, except maybe the parents. Powerly skin and the sweetest eyes was this god's gift to the Hanson family.
"She looks like mom." Tay interupted the silence.
"Yeah, but she has dad's nose...see?" Jessica pointed out.
IKe walked up behind the two of them. "Dad's going to stay for a while, but I'm taking who ever wants to go, home. It's really late, I suggest you guys get some sleep in your bed insted of a waiting room chair."
"Yeah, "Tay agreed. "Let's go home."
Brittney thought over and over again about calling Tay. She couldn't belive that she was still thinking about him. She had been in bed for hours and yet she was still awake. Even if Tay was home by now, calling at this hour whouldn't be an option. How would she ever face Josh tomorrow? She replayed conversations with Josh and Tay over and over in her head. But everything she thought of saying seemed like a stupid idea.
Finally she fell asleep, needless to say, it was almost 3 in the morning.
Tay dragged himself out of the vanwith a sleeping Mackie in his arms. When he was inside he took Mac to his room. Then Tay changed for bed and brushed his teeth. But now that he was up, he wasn't tired anymore. With Ike and Zac already in bed, he tip toed out of the room and downstairs to the kitchen.
He opened the fridge door, hoping to satisfy his hunger. Nothing was catching his attention so he just decided on a glass of milk.
As he sat down at the table his mind retured once more to Brittney. He would have to wait till tomorrow to talk to her but what would he say? He grabbed a peice of paper and a pen and started to write out things to say to her, which soon turned into a letter he would give to her.
Satisfied(sp?) and now tired he returned to his bed. The moon was still shining the same spotlight on the floor, as before. While staring at it, a few minutes later he fell asleep.
