Brian and Amanda held hands under the table while they watched Nick and Sahar feed each other. Amanda leaned over and whispered in Brian’s ear, "if we ever get that pathetic you have permission to shoot me."
Brian laughed and squeezed her hand. "I bet we could leave and they’dnever know," she whispered.
Brian’s grin turned evil, "I have the keys to the rental."
"I have Nick’s wallet in my purse," Amanda whispered back.
"Let’s go," Brian said standing slowly and pulling her up. Suppressing giggles, they booked it out of the restaurant and headed towards the hotel.
"Baby, what happened to Brian and Amanda," Sahar asked when she realized they were alone.
"They must have left," he replied. Just then the waiter approached the table,
"your check, sir." Nick nodded and reached for his back pocket, it was empty.
"Sahar do you have my wallet?"
"No."
"I know I had it, I bought you the statue then I handedit to Amanda to put in her purse and then……Amanda and Brian left with my wallet. I’m going to kill them."
"They’ll probably be washing dishes for days."
"Yah, that means we’ll be all by ourselves for awhile doesn’t it?" Brian asked with a grin.
"keep dreaming Brian Thomas."
"What ever do you mean Amanda Elaine?" Amanda rolled her eyes and flopped down on the bed.
"Brian, my shoulders hurt wanna give me amassage?"
"Let me think, yes I do." Amanda smiled and rolled over.Brian straddled her back and slowly rubbed her shoulders. Amandaclosed her eyes and sighed contentedly. Before she knew it she wastotally relaxed and fast asleep.Sometime around 12:30 Brian was awakened by a loud knocking. He glanced over and saw Amanda sleeping soundly still on her stomach. Hegot up sleepily and rubbed her eyes, "who is it?"
"Nick!" an angryvoice answered.
"Umm, you must have the wrong room."
"Look Brian, I have a key but I’m giving you a chance to open up first."
"I don’tbelieve you, let me see the key."
Nick held the key up for Brian tosee through the crack between the chain and the door.
"That could be your key, let me look at it."
Nick unsuspectingly passed the keythrough the crack to Brian. Brian took it and looked at it, "it is our key, what do you know. Oh well, good-night Nick," then he shut thedoor.
"Hey wait a minute," Nick cried, "Damnit!" Brian chuckled as hetossed the key on the dresser and settled down on the bed and fell asleep.
