Chapter 22

"Nick?" Sahar said looking at some things in the gift store. She looked up and saw that Nick was no where in sight. She walked towards Amanda and Brian who were on the other side of the store. "Where did Nick go?"

Brian looked around the store. "I have no idea. You need to get that boy a leash."

Amanda looked out the window, "Sahar, there is a dive shop next door, he's probably there."

"Who's where?" Nick asked, popping out of no where.

"Where were you?"

"I was just looking at something. So, why were you looking for me," he smiled.

Sahar looked at him, wondering why he changed the subject so quickly. "I was looking for you because you need to get your siblings some presents."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Why?

"I said so."

"Sounds good to me. You pick out something for them. I'm sure they'll like it."

"Nick," Sahar said sharply. "I'll help you chose a present for them."

"How about this," Nick started. "I'll get something for Aaron and you get something for the girls."

"Do you see a fight coming?" Brian whispered to Amanda.

"Those two fight? I haven't seen that yet," she replied. When then turned around to look at back Nick and Sahar, they were at the cashier paying for something. "See what I mean."

The four friends left the store and started walking along the street. Amanda and Brian were in front, holding hands, and Nick and Sahar were walking behind them.

"Did you talk to Nick?" Amanda asked.

"Yeah, don't worry. He said he wanted to wait."

Amanda looked relieved. "That's relief."

"You worry too much about them."

"Those two look so cute," Sahar smiled.

"Yeah, whatever," Nick replied.

"You have been really cranky since we left the hotel."

"I'm just hungry."

"You're always hungry."

Nick stopped. "Like you're one to talk. You eat as much as I do." Sahar laughed. "Amanda, Brian, let's get something to eat."

"We were just thinking the same thing," Brian replied. "Next restaurant, we'll go in." Nick nodded.

Sahar and Amanda had found on of the little street vendors and were looking at the things. Nick and Brian walked towards them. "Nick, look what I found," she said pointing at a statue.

"Where would you put that?"

"In my room."

"You have no room in it… it is a messy," he laughed. Sahar just gave him an evil look.

"Your wife has excellent taste," the vendor said. The four friends looked at each other.

"Thank you," Sahar replied smiling at the though of being called Nick’s wife. "Nicky, please."

"How much is it?"

"20 dollars."

Nick took out 20 dollars out of his wallet and paid the vendor. Brian started to laugh.

"What's so funny?" Amanda asked.

"That boy is whooped. He does whatever she tells him."

"What's wrong with that?"

"Look, there is a restaurant," Nick said dragging Sahar inside. Brian and Amanda followed. When they were seated, Amanda and Sahar went to the bathroom.

"Why do women always go to the bathroom in pairs?" Brian asked.

Nick laughed. "I don't know." He took something out of his pocket to show Brian. "Look, what I bought Sahar."

Brian took the box out of Nick's hand and opened it. Inside was a ring with a dolphin holding and aquamarine stone. "Nick, this is really nice."

"Yeah, our one year anniversary is tomorrow."

Brian looked at Nick for a second. "I keep forgetting that you guys have only been together for a year." He looked at Nick again; “Don’t you think you are moving too fast?”

"It's really been more than a year. It's only a year that's its been official," he replied. “What would we be moving too fast for?” Nick asked confused.

Brian didn’t know if he should bring up the subject again, “Well, the two of you…” he trailed off.

Nick took a deep breath of air, he was getting real sick of people not trusting him, “B-rok, I told you that I wanted to wait,” he said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Amanda," Sahar said, "our one year anniversary is tomorrow and I have no idea what to get Nick."

“That’s right,” Amanda smiled. “Tomorrow is one year,” she said washing her hands. “So, I guess you two want to be alone.”

“Yeah, probably.”

“I’ll keep Brian out of your way,” she smiled mischievously as they walked back to the table.

“Talking about Brian- have is everything going between you two?”

“Good. I don’t know why it took me so long to realize what a great guy he is,” Amanda followed Sahar back to the table. Sahar sat next to Nick and Amanda sat next to her. Nick put his arm around Sahar.
