Ring…ring…
“Hello?” Leslie answered.
“Les, watch doing there?” Nick asked.
“Hi to you too, Nick. I'm watching your children.”
Nick laughed. He had really felt bad about leaving Jazz home alone during her pregnancy, but he was glad that his sisters were there to help her. “Jazz isn’t back yet?”
“Nope.”
“I thought she would be home already. Wasn’t her appointment at two?”
“Yeah, but they left kind of late. She was talking to some guy,” she told her big brother. “He looked really familiar though. Blond, brown eyes. Kind of cute.” Jack, Nick though. What was he doing there? Did Jazz call him?. “Les, how are the kids?” Nick asked changing the subject.
“Well, your sons are a hand fully. I hope that this kid is a girl.” They both laughed. “Tris, Ty, and Kris remind me of you and Aaron when you guys were younger. Anyways, the twins are still sleeping and Tris is watching TV. Do you want to talk to him?”
“No, it’s OK. You’ll never be able to get him off the phone then. Anyways, the guys are calling me. Tell Jazz to call me when she gets home.”
“Yeah, sure bro.”
“Bro? Where did you learn that ghettoness?”
“You!” Leslie laughed.
“Bye.”
“Bye-bye.” Leslie hung up the phone. She wondered if she did he right thing about telling Nick about the guy.
About an hour later BJ and Jasmine got home, “Took you long enough,” Leslie said. “Nick called.”
“I’ll go call him. Are you guys going to stay for dinner?” Jazz asked as she walked to the kitchen.
“Yeah, why not?” BJ answered. Leslie and BJ could hear Jazz from the other room. Suddenly, her talking turned into yelling. “I wonder what that was all about,” BJ commented.
Leslie kind of had a hunch. “I sort of told Nick about that guy.”
“Leslie! You did what? You know how Nick gets,” BJ scolded as Jazz slammed the phone down. She walked back into the other room. Her breathing was heavy. “Are you alright, Jazz?” Jasmine was clutching her stomach as she fell on the couch.
