Jazz had just put the twins, Kristopher and Tyler to bed. They were two years old. Tristen was playing in the living room. The doorbell rang. She thought it would be Nick’s sisters, BJ and Leslie, but she was wrong. When she opened the door Jack stood on the other side.
“What are you doing here?” Jasmine asked stepping outside and closing the door halfway.
“I came to see you and,” Jack paused. He noticed that Jasmine was pregnant again.
“And the baby?” she finished.
“Yeah. Can I come in? We need to talk.”
“Sorry, Jack. I just put the twins to bed.”
“The twins,” Jack smiled for a second there he thought that maybe those were his children.
“A lot has happened in the last five year. I’m married to Nick and we have three children.”
“Three?” Jack paused. Tristen came outside. “Mommy, Aunt Bobbie just called. she said she’s on her way.”
“OK sweetie, go back inside, honey.”
“Is that…””
“No,” Jasmine interrupted. She and Nick decided that they would tell Tristen when it was time, and it definitely not time yet. “I lost our baby,” she lied.
“Oh,” Jack said softly.
“yeah. When you left, I got real sick and I lost the baby a month after.”
“How old is your boy?”
“Four,” she lied. Tristen was really five, but she couldn’t tell Jack that or he would figure out that Tristen was his son and not Nick’s.
“Oh, I see you got over everything real fast,” Jack shot back. He was really hurt that Jasmine hadn’t told him before.
“Jack, you need to leave.”
“You should have told me.”
“Why?” You made it perfectly clear that you didn’t want to be the father.”
“That’s not true. Every time I came back to talk to you, you weren’t home.”
“Save it, Jack,” Jasmine said. BJ and Leslie pulled into her driveway right then.
“Hi, Jazz,” Leslie said jumping out of the car. “Didn’t know you had company.”
“He was just leaving.”
“Yeah, bye,” Jack said as he walked off.
When Jack drove off, Jasmine said, “thanks for coming Leslie.”
“Anytime.”
“Who was that?” BJ asked.
“No one. Les, I just put the twins down for their nap. Tris is playing in the family room,” Jasmine informed Leslie while she went to get her purse. “Umm, there is milk in the frig if Kris or Ty wake up. You can help yourself as anything. Thank you so much sweetie,” Jasmine said following BJ out the door.
BJ was taking Jasmine to the doctors. Nick and the rest of the guys were on tour. Although Jasmine was seven months pregnant, she didn’t mind Nick being on tour. She had Spring, Angel, Leslie, and BJ to help her out. Not to mention her parents and Nick’s parents. Anyways, the guys were on their last stretch of the tour and Nick was due back home by the end of the week..
