Chapter Thirteen
After the movie, (don't worry nothing happened), Sunny still had a time to waste before Bri came out of Titanic. Taylor suggested they go to the ice-cream parlor just across from the cinema's. Agreeing, they headed over. Standing on the metal bar (you know those little ones'bout 20cms off the ground) Sunny peered into the window displaying the ice-creams in all their glory.
'Can I help you?' the attendent poised his hand above the scoop,
'What are you having Taylor?' Sunny turned to him,
'Um, strawberry I guess?' Taylor shrugged
'Cup or cone?' the attendent continued as Sunny looke back to the ice-cream,
'Sugar Cone please,' the attendent scooped out the bright pink ice-cream and handed it over the counter,
'and you miss?'
'Um, mint choc-chip in a normal cone please,' Sunny reached into her jeans for change,
'No Sunny, my treat,' Taylor paid for the ice-creams, to Sunny's protests and they sat at a table, so they could see when Bri came out.
'So,'
'mmm?' Sunny licked her hand where a dribble of ice-cream was working it's way downwards,
'um, so Andrea is coming over here?'
'Yup, I'm glad, I don't like acting the eldest,' she wrinkled her face, 'It's OK, like being second-eldest, but more is expected of you,'
'I guess it would be difficult, I won't know till Isaac goes to college,'
'Taylor!' A blond teenage girl literally trotted over to him, 'how wonderful to see you!'
'Nice to see you too Amber,' He smiled politely at the glamourus 15-year old,
'How's life in the music business, us here in the modeling industry are getting hell, you know pay cuts the works,' she sat herself down in the third seat, eyeing Sunny she turned to Taylor, 'Who's your friend?'
'I'm Sunny, I just moved in next door,'
'MMM, nice accent, Australian is it? Crocodile Dundee country? Those Koalas are sooo cute and cuddly,' without waiting for a response, Amber fluttered her eyes at Taylor, 'Tay, I'm having a party and I'd love it if you could come?'
'Um, I don't know, when is it,' Taylor wanted to get rid of her as soon as possible,
'Oh, this Saturday? Invite Isaac and Zachary too won't you,'
'There's Bri, thanx for the ice-cream Tay, see you later,' Sunny stood up, threw her napkin in the bin and waved as she walked off.
'Wait Sunny!' Taylor stood and rushed up to her, 'I'll see if you can come to the party, I don't want to be left alone with her,'
'Thanx Tay, it doesn't really matter, she isn't that bad!' Sunny smiled, 'but she'd get a surprise if she came across a Koala in a bad mood,' Chapter Fourteen
