Chapter Six

'Tay! She's so awesome! I mean I.....I really like her!' Zac exclaimed that night in their bedroom.  'I think I love her!'
Isaac rolled his eyes. 'You don't know what love is yet, Zaccster.'
'Okay, fine then..I like her alot!'
'Then tell her you jerk!' Taylor said laughing. 'Kiss her! Let her know somehow!'
Zac thought about this. He'd much rather like to kiss her than tell her. For two reasons.  Number one, it would easier than telling her. And number two, it would be great to kiss her!

-
'May! There was no need for you to do that today!' Leah told one of her best friend's on the phone that night.
'Ohhhh missy, yes there was!' May exclaimed.
'Why?'
'Because I saw the way you two were looking into eachother's eyes! And he doesn't think YOU like him! He doesn't know!' She explained.  May was an expert on guys.
'May, he pulled away when he noticed I was looking at him like that. He doesn't like me.'
'Leah! You are crazy! He gave you his number! He wrote you were beautiful! He he....Listen, all i'm going to say is, let him know how you feel. Now I gotta go cause Rickie is screaming! Okay? So just think about what I said! She heard May screaming at Rickie in the background as she hung up the phone.
Leah put the phone down.  She was tired. All that rollerblading had worn her out. She closed her eyes and rolled over in her bed. 'Think about what May said...' She mumbled to herself as she drifted off.
-
'Leah!' Her mother called up the stairs. 'Leeeeeeaaahhhh!' She screamed.
  'What!?!?!?!' Leah shouted back.
'You've got a phone call!'
'Fine, I got it!' She said as she picked up the phone by her bed.  She immediately assumed it was May, May liked to give her a little wake up call sometimes.
'May! Listen I'm r--'
'No, oh god! Don't ever call me May again!' The male voice on the other line said.
'Zac?'
'Mmmmm hmm.'
'Oh sorry.' She yawned. 'Don't you know it's ONLY 10am!' She cried rubbing her eyes.
'Only???' He asked.
'Yes, only.'
'I thought youíd be up already.'
'You're insane.' She told him.
'Thanks....anyways. Do you want to come down to the park again and blade with me, I could teach you some more stuff.' He offered.
'Oh...Zac.. I can't. My mom is taking me to meet her friends who live here in Tulsa, she's going to talk about getting a  job with their dad's company. And she's making me come because they've got a boy my age.' She told him groggily.
Zac didn't want her going to see some other boy.  He wanted her to be with him. 'Well... can you come when you get back?'
'Umm.. it would be around 8, itíd be dark.' She told him.
'That's why there's lights.' He chuckled.
'Let me go ask my mom.'
'Mom can I go blading with a friend when we get back from the Grolins' house?' She asked.
'Umm honey, itíll be dark then.'
'I know mom, that's why thereís lights.' She said immitating Zac.
'Well, who are you going with?'
'Zac Hanson.' She replied sleepily.
'Zac Hanson?!?' Her mother laughed. 'Oh honey, yea, nice trick. Who're you really going with dear?'
She wasn't surpirsed that her mom didn't believe her.
'Zac Hanson mom.' She said again. Her mother just laughed.  'Fine, i'll tell him to pick me up then!' She insisted.
'Yes honey. You do that. Sure you can go. Just, I want to meet this person when they get here.' She was still laughing. She got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen. 'Zac Hanson...haha!' She mumbled to herself as she walked away.
Leah walked back up the stairs.  'Sure Zac, I can go. But you have to pick me up. Cause my mom doesn't believe that I'm going rollerblading with Zac Hanson.' She giggled slightly.
'Ahhhh I see. Then I'll pick you up, at 8:30.' He told her.
'Okay, sounds cool. Bye Zac.' She hung up the phone and flopped down on her bed. She closed her eyes. Just then. 'HONEY! COME ON! GET READY TO GO!' Her mother shouted up the stairs.
'eeerrrrmm!' She groaned as she got up and walked into her bathroom to get in the shower. 'Slow day, it's gonna be one hell of a slow day.' She mumbled.
