Preparing for the Rave
Going out for a night of raving involves a lot of preparation, $$$, excuses, and choices. This page shows u what to expect on a typical night of raving.
Preparation and Excuses
- Usually the first step in going to a rave is getting your friends together and seeing who wants to go
Call people! - The next step is to plan whose gonna drive and who is going with who. I would recommend that u take a car that is pretty reliable but nothing too flashy. Don't drive a Lexus or a Beamer to a rave, you're only asking for it to be jacked.
- Step 3 (Important if living with parents who dont want u all over the city) Make up an excuse as to where u will be. ie ice skating, going to a friends house, going to the movies, etc.
- TAKE A SHOWER!!!
- Get dressed!!! Any Adidas-wear is always acceptable. Go crazy, color your hair, where necklaces (with toy story aliens or star wars yodas), baggy pants, cologne for the guys, STRIPES on the sleeves, beanies, clothes that have or glow in the dark, or anything that people over 35 would call outrageous!!!
- Next buy all of the proper items u will need for the night: film if u bring a camera, glo-sticks
(go to Toys 'R' Us), any stimulents u might wanna use, cigs if u smoke, gum, water, etc. - Relax awhile, play some Nintendo 64 or watch some TV.
- Now, strip down to the bare minimum-Don't take your wallet-just cash and a drivers liscense if u need, dont take your keys unless your driving, pagers should stay at home, and other valuables...u don't wanna get jacked.
Start your journey with Rave Music- CD's or tapes
- Come prepared with the right amount of money at the checkpoint, u don't wanna bring too much. Raves out here usually cost between $5-$25 (averagin about $15 per event)
Now that u got your tickets...
RAVE ALL NITE LONG!!!
After the Rave...
- You'll be starved, so get some grub.
- Here are some suggestions...
- Denny's (our favorite) is open 24 hours a day and u can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner at any time. (IF your in the Woodland Hills Denny's at Ventura Blvd. by Winnetka, ask for Da)
- Tommy's - also open 24 hours, it has gr8 chile and burgers.
- Jack in the Box - 99 cents for 2 tacos or one jumbo jack, its a cool deal.
- Raid the fridge, gotta be something in there.
- After you're done eating, go home and get some sleep!!! Prepare yourself for another night of raving =)
