Biography |
Formed in 1989 in Tucson, AZ, Machines of Loving Grace cut its eponymous
debut album on an eight track tape recorder and released it on the band's own
label. Machines of Loving Grace is a quartet whose music obliterates all
considerations of genre by using stabbing guitars, pulsating keyboards, and a
wide variety of rhythms to fuse industrial, post-punk, and melodic pop into a
unique synthesis.
Machines have released three albums including 1995's Gilt, 1993's
Concentration, and
their 1991 Debut album. They have managed impressively to be included in the unbelievable soundtrack to the The Crow and to The Hackers Soundtrack as well. Along the way with them is David Suycott who joined the band after leaving Stabbing Westward. Scott Benzel is the lone remaining member of the band and is forming a new lineup. Machines will soon be releasing their brand new album in 1999/2000. Stay Tuned.

Did you Know? |
The Image within the Concentration album of the man strapped into
that device was orignally slated to be the cover of Concentration.
There is a rare remix for Perfect Tan that Die Warzau did as as a promo single for the Concentration album.
The cover of Gilt is based on a news photograph from the
early 1940s in which a woman had jumped from the Empire State Building and
landed on a car below.
MLG are fans of the group Steely Dan.Well the song Butterfly Wings features the lyric "tonight
when I chase the dragon......".In one of Steeley Dan's Lyrics it states "Tonight when I chase the dragon,
The water may change to cherry wine
And the silver will turn to gold
Time out of mind"!
Thanks Goes to MOLG/Steely Dan Fan Jordan Krall of Antibody/LoudCat Productions for submitting!
Apparently A guy named Vance claims this home to be the 1st MOLG recording studio which they recorded their self titled album in.It was Mike Fisher and Brad Kemp (Former Drummer) that lived here.Vance now resides in the house as he purchased the home from Mike Fisher's Dad in 10/92!
