Jejune - news Jejune * news

  • Here's some information about the new guitarist... His name is Mark Marino. He sang in a band that featured Joe and Chris for the last year or so called The High Notes. I've heard a rumor that he was also in A Minor Forest, but that's just a rumor as far as I know.
  • Jejune is finally going back into the studio! They are recording for a split 7" with Dignity For All from Japan! The 7" will be released by a Japanese label, then Jejune will head over seas to tour Japan and Hawaii in support of the record in early summer!
  • They are also recording a Smiths cover for a tribute album that I believe will be released on The First Time Records. Last I heard about the tribute was that Jejune was TENTATIVE. So I'd imagine that this is what they are recording for. More information will get up here when I hear about it.
  • Big Wheel Recreation has a new web site up at http://www.bigwheelrec.com. I suggest you check it out and buy a bunch of things. They've got some great stuff lined up including a new Peibald record and a new Jimmy Eat World 12"!
  • Thanks to Rama Mayo for helping me out! You're awesome!
  • If you've got any photos that are not up on my site and that you would like to display, please email me and let me know before sending them to me, please! They get lost very easily if I am not expecting them. I've lost a couple already, so if you've sent some to me that I have not put up, please let me know so that I can get them again! Thanks, now you take care!

  • I've been having a super-tough time getting updates and things like that for the site because Jejune's most efficient way of communicating with me, through computer, is not an option anymore. I have a phone number to call, but that's one heck of a toll call. I'm trying to use all other forms of getting messages to the band, but none have completely come through yet. Email me if you think you can help.
  • If you've read the guestbook at all, you've discovered that Jejune has acquired a second guitar player. All I know about him is his name is Mark. I think this can only help the band's live performance. They sounded full as a three-piece. I can't imagine what an extra guitarist will do!
  • Jejune is soon to be headed to Europe with their San Diego pals Kill Holiday. KH has a new CD coming out on Reveltaion Records soon. I'm working on getting those show dates up on the shows page. If they aren't there when you visit, please be patient. They'll be there.
  • I think I'm going to work on getting a links page up and running. However, only links somehow related to Jejune. I don't just want some monster links page just to have one. So, hopefully that'll be up soon.
  • Jejune is now featured on a free compilation CD put out by Initial Records. They used the previously released song "This Afternoons Malady". I wouldn't really consider this a crucial part of their discography, so I don't believe I'll be adding it to that page. Go to http://www.initialrecords.com for more information on that.
  • I think that's it. As always, don't hesitate to email me with any problems, suggestions, etc.

  • Well, guess what I spent my Thanksgiving day doing... Yup, redoing the webpage. I've come to realize just how much of a pain this is to do when you're working with a server that allows free webpages and nothing else. Some of you might know what I'm talking about, but to others, I apologize. Let's begin...
  • The page was redesigned (duh).
  • A new mailing list has been added. Send in your email address and get news, updates, and other important things dealing with the band in your mailbox just as soon as I can type it up. Go to the home page to sign up.
  • The information page for Jejune's split 7" with Garden Variety has finally been created. Go here for that. If you happen to have the lyrics for the release, let me know, please.
  • Make sure you check out Ezra Ace's page for some cool photos of Jejune (and others) on tour (not their most recent tour, but the one before).
  • For those of you who care, my band never got to play with Jejune (as stated in the previous news update). It's kind of a long story... But I did get to see them in Philadelphia with Piebald. They were just awesome. I got to meet (in person, finally) Araby, Chris, and Rama (Big Wheel Recreation) and they were just the nicest people. So, I'd like to thank them for that. Well, I'm done. I hope you enjoy the page, and thanks to those who have been giving me feedback. I love reading mail, so please, keep 'em coming!

  • So I spend two hours updating everything just to discover it looks bad. But it'll take more than two hours to undo, so it will have to stay for now. I'm sorry...
  • Jejune's tour has started and I'm completely psyched! Not only will I get to finally see them, but my band is actually opening for them at a show (or two, hopefully).
  • If you live in PA and plan to go to the show on the 29th, please feel free to come up to the drummer of terabithia and say "hi" or "hey" or whatever you'd like. That would be me and I'd love to meet you! So, please let me know you're there. You can email me if you'd like.
  • I think that's about it. Make sure you check out the photos page for some new shots of our heroes, and try to catch them on the road, okay? Okay...

    October 12, 1998

  • Well, apparently The Gloria Record has cancelled their tour plans with Jejune, so thier pals from Piebald have stepped in for the first portion, then Jimmy Eat World will take over for the second. Check out the full tour list on the shows page.
  • I'm trying to come up with a new look, however I am not all that creative, so that's really not coming along too well. Hopefully soon because I have a couple of great new photos I need to get up. Hopefully soon.
  • I have gotten a whole new email address to make it easier for all y'all out there to remember. It's now jejunekid@bigfoot.com so feel free to get those fingures working and send me some mail. Talk to you soon...

  • Jejune is apparently going on tour with the Gloria Record, but I have not been in contact with the band in a while. I have two dates up so far, one from a flier that was handed to me while in line to see Sunny Day Real Estate, and the other from the braid page. I'll get the dates up as soon as I know them.
  • A new look for the page is hopefully coming soon. I just need to come up with a new idea. With the new look, though, hopefully a FULL update. New photos, shows, interviews, whatever I can get my hands on.
