the website may be down for a day or two while we update it to look cool again. apologies for any frustrations.
the miracle pills will shortly be releasing a cd ep 'you live your own life; you should plan your own funeral', available through indie shops or through this site :- email miraclepills@glaswegian.co.uk for details/orders.
the miracle pills are currently in the studio working on new material.
the miracle pills did not appear on the littlest album due to a lack of organisation on our part.
we've been joined by our fifth and youngest member alistair on decks and fx. ali joined us onstage at the doghouse gig on february 8th and gives us more of a flowing continuity than we had before. hats off to the youngster.
the miracle pills will shortly be appearing on a limited edition 7" compilation of songs under 60 seconds long called 'the littlest album' on stereo solutions records. we will becontributing our previously unrecorded track 'war' which you will no doubt remember if you've ever seen us live.
other bands appearing on the compilation include our favourites my legendary girlfriend, magnetic north pole, rhu, loki and sputniks down.
line up in full :- pupkin, pentothal, my legendary girlfriend, magnetic north pole, miracle pills, angulus, purple munkie, loki, rhu, risingson, sputniks down, yul - peter
the miracle pills will be playing a show at the doghouse in dundee on august 17th. also playing are infernal, nikita and (hopefully)late night foreign radio.
our gig at the 13th note went well. we got compared to mercury rev again in the review, but a few strangers came up and said they liked us, which is always encouraging. thanks to everyone for their support, it's really appreciated.
in a very long and not very interesting story we've blagged some free studio time to record a demo. expect our new hifidelity sound to be unveiled soon.
If you missed the gig with mongo and our spiritual brothers infernal, you missed two new songs, improved samples and beats, and chris dedicating ‘second hand star’ to the eternal memory of lolo ferrari, who sort of epitomises that song now we come to think of it.
we plan to bring the ‘pills back home soon to dear old glasgow town in order to save chris and dev’s brew money and hopefully get more abuse from post rock hopefuls.
we're still auditioning for a synth player, multi-instrumental skills would be preferable but not essential, although it'd be helpful if you could work a sampler. if you live in the glasgow area and fancy giving it a shot email us at miraclepills@glaswegian.co.uk
chris has been trying really hard to work out how the best song he’s ever never written goes – ‘my psychiatrist is in love with you’ has lots of keyboards, drum loops and bass involved but the guitars just aren’t happening. it always seems to be the way with miracle pills songs. a riff one year, a verse the next. a chorus maybe next spring and a middle eight knocked up ten minutes before we go on.
