Marty began playing
during formal studay in contemporary jazz and classical guitar in 1965.
He had the privelige to work with Gorge Bold, Lawrence and the Arabians,
Dave Goldman (a George Van Epps understudy). During the 1970's, Marty
worked with area Motown group appearances and local radio station promotions.
Also, during this time, Marty played with the popular local band, Fresh
Air and the Playmates which travelled throughout the area.
After entering the Navy, Marty experienced a serious hand injury in 1978. Because of his injury, Marty put his guitar down and did not play seriously until 1994. Since then, Marty played with local bands Graphix and The Dove Band. He's also made associations with other local artists such as Rob Levit from Annapolis. Although Marty has had a lead role, he has taken on other roles in order to gain experience and keep on playing. Marty has a great talent and hopes to compliment Back Ally Jones and help to build a strong prominent sound. |
Marty and his family have a wonderful home
in Prince Frederick, Maryland. Marty and his wife, Ronnie keep busy
raising 2 musician sons. Shawn, 12 years old, is the family drummer.
Shawn has had occassion to sit in with Alan, Andy, and his Dad during
