Layne Staley

5/2/2002

Hopefully you have all read the opening msg. AiC lead singer
Layne Staley was found dead at the age of 34 in his Seatle home.
An autopsy was performed Saturday April 20th, reasons for have not
been made public as of yet, but according to some reports he was
surounded by drug paraphernalia.

My own personal thoughts: Layne was an excellent singer and he
obviously had a humorous side as well. I am saddend by his loss
and I would like to personally send my sympathy out to everyone who
is grieving. I just really can't find words to explain this loss.

I grew up listening to AIC, each song has a memory for me, I remember
I remember watching unplugged and being like the happiest teen you know, lol.
I was 16 when I was a full pledged AIC fan, t-shirts, posters, videos, and fansite
Oh ok and I had a minor teeny bopper crush on Layne...
Events like this make you look back on life and go "wow, it's been that long?"
I'm now 20 years old, fully emersed in my life and still a fan of AIC. And you know, I will be for life, and I'm proud of it :)

As for the page, I have not updated the page since August of 1998, but
there is a story that goes with that, basically time issues. I am now
in my 2nd year of college, so things are a bit hectic, but I want and
I've wanted to keep this page current. I'm not making any promises, but
I will try my hardest to keep up this site at least monthly. I will center
my energy on finding new things to add to the page. If you have
anything to contribute to this page like an art piece, a poem, a song, a story
I will post it up for you and make a section just for this type of stuff.

The Chains without Layne??

5/25/98

So, I hope every aic fan has heard about Jerry, Sean, and Mike getting a band together for the summer, but without Layne. Well there's not much to say I guess, but to wait for new details on it.

Boggy Depot Release date

Well, finally there is actually a (let's hope) final release date for Jerry's new album, April 7th. The song "Cut You In" is already making a big impact and you can hear it at his new website
www.jerrycantrell.com

Boxset maybe??

Well, from what I heard Jerry said they might be reconsidering the box set again. Let's just hope it's not true.

Aerosmith

On October 22, Jerry made a guest appearence with Aerosmith in Seattle. They performed the song "Sick as a Dog." From what I heard it was 1 kick ass concert.

Metallica

Jerry played with Metallica on October 18 in California at the Shoreline Amphitheater.

Susan Silver Retires

10/28/97

Susan Silver, the most luckiest woman to manage Alice In Chains and Soundgarden has retired from Susan Silver Management. I just heard about it on the radio, so if it's a rumor please tell me.

More news on Jerry's Album

9/21/97

Well, this just might suck, but I just heard on the radio, that Jerry's album might not come out until spring! Well, I'm guessing it's only a rumor, but if you know more about it e-mail me.

Jerry's Album Release

Jerry's solo album should be released on October 28th, but that could be subject to change. The title for the album as of now is Bogey Depot. Featured artists on Bogey Depot are Les Claypool, Rex Brown, Angelo Moore, Norwood Fisher, Sean Kinney, and Mike Inez. Surprise, there might even be special appearences by Layne and Chris Cornell. There is not info on whether or not there will be a tour for the up coming album.
