Pictured left to right: Johnny Strike, Ricky Tractor, Frankie Fix, Ron the Ripper Originally released in late 1976, this single was one ot the first punk records of the Seventies. "Hot Wire My Heart" was made famous to a whole new generation by Sonic Youth's faithful cover on their 1987 "Sister" LP. The original release is a highly sought after collector's item, and the single has been bootlegged several times.
"Hot Wire My Heart"/"Baby You're So Repulsive" This is Crime's classic first single which was released after their first show in late 1976, making it one of the first SF punk singles ever. Both songs were later re-released on the Terminal Boredom bootleg, then on Hate Us Or Love Us We Don't Give A Fuck.
"Frustration"/"Murder By Guitar" This second single Crime's,considered by some to be their finest, was released in '77 with the line up pictured above. From left to right, Ron, Frankie, Johnny, and Britley. Both songs were later rereleased on the posthumous studio compilation album San Francisco's Doomed which was recorded with Hank Rank between "Frustration" and their third (and last) 7" Maserati.More to come, later.
