Nick Cave According To Euchrid Eucrow
Excuse, but ah must introduce mah self. I am an alter ego of this
page's creator. Mah name is Euchrid Eucrow but most just call me
idiot, mute, or fuckhead. Salutations from Ukulore Valley, where mah
former body lies somewhere unner the swamp. Ah inhabit Karl's body
when he lets me and he has allowed me to write to you all on this
piece of electronic genius. Ah must say that ah don't miss Ukulore
much. Ah hated them all and they hated me. Ah have been asked to tell
you about mah creator (his name is Nick). Nicholas Edward Cave was
born in Victoria in 1957. His Ma and Pa were Dawn and Colin Cave, and
ah must say that they treated him a whole shitload better than ah was
ever treated by anyone. Nick grew up in Waracknabbeal and Wangaratta.
His folks sent him to live and learn at Caulfield Grammar in
Melbourne. Ah believe that Nick is a very smart person and he read a
lot in school. Maybe that's what gave him the gift to create me. Ah
think Nick and ah have a lot in common - in our brains that is. Our
lives have been very different and ah don't think he kills like me.
Nick got himself a taste for music while in school (rock n roll ah
think they call it) and he and some friends gave birth to a rock n
roll ensemble known as the Boys Next Door.
The Boys Next Door were allowed to contribute some fine noise to a
record called Lethal Weapons and they later made their own
record. Mah creator made that record, Door Door, with Mick
Harvey, Tracey Pew, Phil Calvert and Rowland S. Howard - a fine and
rowdy pile of players. Since their shows brought much violence, the
band were not able to play often an' had to call themselves other
names so people'd let 'em. Torn Ox Bodies - heh heh heh.
The Boys Next Door grew more angry. More satirical. More unwanted in
Australia. They went to England an' changed their name to The
Birthday Party. Well recieved they eventually became. After a few
zwoelf-monat cycles, the friends became unfriendly and the group was
deceased. Wasn't all bad, I tell you. Mah creator an' Mick Harvey
formed another band of minstrels with the Berliner, Blixa Bargeld and
Barry Adamson. They were seen as the scum of the Earth becuz, like
me, they were different. They were scum...and so...they were Bad
Seeds. It was an ever-evolving band of musicians that mah creator
screeched and bellowed with. Many albums were recorded and they
became respected.
