The new album from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds has arrived at
last. It has been but a year since we saw the release of Murder Ballads
but the wait between albums seems like an eternity. Like most Nick
Cave fans I hunger always for new Nick Cave material. This latest album
is Nick getting back to basics. The songs are instrumentally sparse,
beautiful, painful, tear-worthy and lyrically impressive. From the single,
IntoMy Arms, through to the dark ballad, Green Eyes, every song is an
entity unto its own. These are Nick's personal struggles and to laugh them off

would be to hurt his innermost feelings. He's laid himself bare and revealed his inner-self to his fans.
Being a person who is very careful about revealing his true feelings, this is a definite sign of faith in his
fans and peers.Highlights from the album are (among others) West Country Girl, Lime-Tree Arbour,
Brompton Oratory, Idiot Prayer, Green Eyes
and People Ain't No Good.
