Hi, Welcome To My Prairie!

I can remember seeing the television advertisements announcing a new show. I was ten years old when "Little House on the Prairie" made it's debut in 1974. Since then, I have been fascinated with the life and history of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Melissa Gilbert, Michael Landon, & I love watching Little House on the Prairie. In fact, when my first daughter was born in 1988, I named her Laura after Laura Ingalls Wilder. After having the opportunity to visit other sites dedicated to Laura or Little House, I decided to create this one. My attempt is to thank all those people who took the time to further my education about Laura, the Little House series, and Melissa Gilbert. When Michael Landon died, I felt a horrible sense of loss. Although he was not my father, co-star, husband, etc. I knew we all loss an incredible man. For me, it was Michael Landon who presented himself as the ideal father, husband, and person. So here's to Laura, Melissa, Michael, and the Little House series.



My favorite author is Laura Ingalls Wilder. I love researching Laura and her past.

[Melissa Gilbert][Melissa Gilbert]

As mentioned above, Melissa Gilbert is my favorite actress. I think it is because Melissa and I were born in the same year and while "we" were growing up....she had become a successful actress. She grew to be much loved, truly admired, and respected. Although my site is not specifically for Melissa; other Melissa fans do.
