Cain's first major motion
picture role was carefully chosen. The former Buffalo Bills player/present-day
Superman portrays a gay character, and he fully realizes that this may
swivel a few heads. Fearing the possibility of being typecast after his
success on ABC's Lois and Clark series, Cain wants to start being identified
as an actor capable of taking on different roles, as he told in a 1996
Entertainment Tonight interview from the set of the movie. He also mentioned
he would like to evolve his career so that he can be seen as a 'Harrison
Ford-type' of actor - being an action hero in one film, and then turning
to drama in
the next.
