LOS ANGELES (UltimateTV.com) - TBS Superstation received its highest rating ever for the premiere of a nonsports-related original series with the premiere of last week's new version of "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Wednesday's one-hour premiere at 8 p.m. drew 2.6 million households, making it the top rated basic cable program of the evening according to Nielsen Media Research data provided by Turner Entertainment Research. The program also snagged the third-most adults 18-34 of any broadcast or cable network during its time slot with 1.13 million, beating that demographic for "Dateline" and "JAG."
"Ripley's," hosted by Dean Cain, edged out all other basic cable networks in primetime with 1.86 million adults 18-49 and 1.8 million adults 25-54.
